Southgate confirmed to stay.

Done a good job. A very good job. Would have preferred a change to be honest, but there aren’t many options. Poch wouldn’t have taken it, nor would Potter. And Tuchel is a mardy git

Probably left Gerrard. Which would have been worse

Not a jot of interest in International footy but who else would do it. No top manager as they love the day to day stuff. They'd be bored shitless.

I’m supporting Sunderland only from now on. Absolutely baffling decision. Just walk away you’re a shite manager.

f***ing hell man, what a ridiculous thing to say, I would respect your view if you said on balance you did not want him to stay.

But to actually say ‘it’s a absolutely baffling decision’ considering his record is absolutely ludicrous thing to say.

Pep guardiola is better.
Klopp is better.
Pochettino is better.

I could go on
International management is a bit different to club football.

I think Southgate has done ok, but I really think we should have won the Euros and been in at least one world cup final.

I'm not so sure on it. i think he's had an easy draw throughout the last 2 major tournaments. In the euros he had the benefit of playing on home soil and an easy passage to final (even germany was on decline as has been proven) and we played poor in the final against italy. 2018 world cup was another easy passage and we went out to croatia and again played poorly. this world cup fair enough we were unlucky against france but they seemed there for the taking at times and we never looked great in final 3rd.

granted england were looking poor when he took over but i believe we are going through the early stages of another golden generation. his in game management is very poor for england standard.

id honestly take pochettino who i think would work well for the type of side england has

Semi and a final so far. Who has done better?

A semi and final in which we led both times and failed. Since then we've been relegated from the Nations League, some truly horrific performances (Hungary h and Italy a two of the worst I've ever seen by England in person), and as soon as we come up against an elite side at a tournament we've failed.

He's done well to turn things from where they were in 2016 but he will never be astute to get us over the line and win something. No Premier League team will go for him

Semi and a final so far. Who has done better?

No one has since 1966.

That doesn’t change the fact he doesn’t seem to have a winning mentality. He has taken them as far as he can imo which is a nearly team. I was hoping we’d be looking for someone with abit more of a ruthless streak.
