Southgate confirmed to stay.

This is the correct decision because we don’t have someone who wants the job and who we can bring in.

He’s also the most successful England manager since Ramsey.

Robson is revered by a lot for getting a semi which he lost on pens. Same with Venables.

Southgate’s record is semi, final, quarter.

International management is a lot different, only a few can cross the divide. Scolari, Del Bosque, Enrique off the top of my had have had success in both areas..
No other England manager has won more knockout games than Southgate like but some people want him sacked.
He has carried the failure on.
He's not failed he's done better than anybody else in that job other than Sir Alf

The argument is that he’s played no one of note in a knockout bar Germany.

Disregards what the other’s played as well

You show me where he has.

Beat Spain in the nations league, beat Croatia in the euro group stage, beat Germany in the euros, beat Croatia in the nations league as well, beaten Belgium in the nations league.

We tend to win comfortably against the mid ranked international teams like USA, Switzerland, ivory coast, Poland, Wales etc.

Then we'll hammer the lower teams.

You may say oh well it's only the nations league! but we rarely face top tier international sides competitively so the nations league adds more top tier competitive games. We do ok.

How do other elite nations compare against Southgate's England over the same period?

Shit decision just means another few years of boring defensive tippy tappy football with his favourite players

Given the Boro job by a Steve Gibson when he retired from playing for Boro. They could only appoint him for an in total 12 weeks because he didn’t even have his coaching badges. He eventually got his badges on his way to relegating them in his third season to 2009.

He was then out of football for 4 years before being appointed England U21 coach from 2013 -2016.

Then the England job dropped in his lap courtesy of the greed of fat Sam.

Unbelievable CV to merit being England manager.

I think it was probably a good time to go, but I can see why he'd stay. We're a really good team but just seem to get the biggest moments wrong.

Done very well too. Blows the cv crack out the water

I don’t think it’s a good move for Southgate. I suspect the pressure will now start to build on him and it wouldn’t surprise me if he was forced out before the Euros
