Southerners still welcome in North East?

Seriously a few anonymous people on a message board say some nasty things and you won't come back to the North East
Everybody takes flak on here at some time. Everytime I post something people disagree with, they fling shit about Australia and WTF do you know shit at me. Fling some shit back and get on with your life. I certainly wouldn't be changing my travel plans because of them.
For the record I'm born and raised in the north east but have lived in Australia for most of my life now.
What’s it got to do with you, Bruce?

My father's side of the family are all from the north east but I was born and live down south. I've spent about 3 years working in the North East as well as visiting. I've always felt welcome, I've met such lovely people. I'd say people are so much friendlier than people down south.

This forum is a forum and not real life. The politics forum is a poisonous place. You go to any forum though and there'll probably be people acting like arseholes

My stepson lives in Needingworth, near St. Ives, and I've always found the locals up there really welcoming.
People are friendly most places you go in my experience.
Sometimes people try to turn it in to a "We're friendlier than you" competition.
Lived all over England, and rarely been treated badly.
Apart from Birmingham City supporting nutters, most people from the West Midlands have been friendly in my experience.

I have an in-built suspicion of that there londinium but when I’ve spoken to locals they’ve tended to be ok.

My wife is southern and never had an ounce of bother since moving up here with me. NE people are the best, even some mags. Maybe you posted something stupid, idk.
