South Stand Standing

Exactly, just say get him in front of me to sit down and ill be willing to. f***ing boring bastards knew what they were getting in to

If the majority stand then the moaners and stewards can do fuck all. If everyone is standing and a steward tells you to sit down the standard response should be "yes I will sit down when my view is not obstructed by others standing, I'm standing because I can't see". The steward then either has to get everyone else to sit down or leave it. What's he gonna say "sit down even tho you can't see the game".

Because you've decided you want to sit. It's not like away games where you get put where you get put. There's a choice at home games.

You won't even be stood in the south stand on saturday. You're just on a wind up.

Arrrgghhh!!!!
Ive chosen to sit in the singing section. The seated singing section.
If I wasn't happy about singing, I would take your point.
If there was a standing section and I chose there, I would take your point.
Neither is true.

If that's true then I genuinely think you need to get in touch with the box office and ask for a new seat in another part of the ground. Sounds like the club is going to tolerate long periods of standing (the whole game) so you'll need to move.

For what it's worth I specifically asked the club before and again after booking my seat if it was true I'd be able to stand all match if I wanted...

I was told on both occasions (by different people) exactly the same thing. The SOL is an all seater stadium and it's safety licence is only issued on the understanding people sit for the majority of the time.

The club have no choice but to enforce sitting in all areas of the ground without exception or risk losing the safety licence leading ultimately to reduced capacity.

There will probably be a little bit more standing in the SS than most areas of the ground but it will not be for 90 minutes like some people seem to think, nowhere near.

the club have to say that. Waste of time even asking as the "official line" will be (and has been) trotted out. The club aren't stupid though.

Ah, at last. Some facts.

ah here's Bristow (on my ignore list). Marvellous. Doesn't even need to do the leg work on this wind up. Lucky bastard.

But...haven't the club had meetings with SFG and HTF where he have confirmed flags are allowed and rules will be relaxed on standing?

Aye.

The club can't be seen, publicly, to be veering away from the official line on standing. The club have every right to turn a blind eye though.

What did you think their gonna say? "dee what ya want mate, we're not really bothered"

End of the day it was advertised as the south stand singing section, anyone going there expecting to sit down may aswell move seats now!!

To be fair I think the official line was everyone must sit at all times.

The comments about sitting for the majority of the time only came 'off the record' after I questioned it.
