An interesting statistic from the Northern League website.
Average South Shields attendances:

2012/13 - 169 (still at Filtrona)
2013/14 - 69...
2014/15 - 70
When we (N. Shields) last played them at Peterlee the crowd was 115. We took about 100.

All they need is a few bandwagons heading for Wembley.
Bitter as fuck.

tens of thousands of sandys have supported sunderland for years through thick and thin

time for you mackems to return the favour

even just for one day

south shields are not likely to have a Newcastle 92 effect on sunderland

its just a day in London and an FA Vase final

if you feel threatened by Shields there's no f***ing hope for Sunderland

I wish you well, but I support Sunderland mate. I would be there simply for the occasion, not to support the team. I couldnt support any one else.

I don't feel threatened by Shields, but I do almost feel it's not really appropriate me being there since I've never before shown any interest in Sheels like.

Threatened :eek::lol::lol::lol:

Threatened :eek::lol::lol::lol:

Its f***ing laughable man.

This bloke has been none stop on here saying how Sunderland fans should go and support Shields. I havent a clue why. Fair play to them getting where they are (I know they have a huge investment compared to others at that level and the floodlight issue is pretty suspicious), but the amount of shite spouted on here lately is ridiculous.

A couple of them are deliberately coming on to try and wind Sunderland fans up. Brings this place down.

Look for a reaction, get a reaction and then don't understand why people get pissed off with all this a bit. Fwiw I would like them to win, but support them or even think about going? No thanks. If I had the time and money, I'd be going to Stamford Bridge, regardless of if we are already down or not.

The mystery hotel is bound to be The County..

We've booked in there for the weekend...for the Chelsea match..Stayed in the County at Woburn Pl a few times....beds are ok, decent all you can eat brekky....mind you have to go walkabout at night to use the "shared facilities"....

i think they might be updating the system with the new allocation added as thats what i get now

I hope I've not left it too late for a ticket in the Shields end. :lol:

My best mate sees right through me like. "Who's playing....ah. You just want to go and see Julio don't you..."

Youve jumped on every Shields thread having a dig and youre looking at buying tickets? :lol::oops::lol:

I'd contest that actually. It's the shitposts and spam I take umbrage with, the sensible threads I've nowt against.

I thought you put me on ignore a long time ago?

Tens of thousands,lol

the OP has been a Sunderland fan for nearly fifty years and a South Shields fan for fifty three years

Simonside Hall was the first ground I went to as a five or six years old. Been to over 5o grounds watching Sunderland.

Supporting Sunderland has been and remains wonderful but testing at times. This season has been horrendous. Next season will be too.

Forgive me for having some football hope.

I'm looking forward to going to the vase final just as much as I did the Man City final. Though to be honest the 73 final will unlikely to be ever beaten.

What you looking forward to Gipetto?
I was going to agree with some on here about "who gives a fuck" about Shields but this post has changed my mind. True Shields fans like you must be living the dream.
