Probably something to do with a saturation of CGI films. Wouldn't surprise me if they greenlit it because of detective Pikachu.Nothing about it is right.
Said it in the other thread, but i'll say it again... why is it set in the real world?
Maybe. They saw a cute CGI Pikachu and thought "hey, we could do a Sonic film like that. But lets give him weird beady eyes and human teeth; that should freak everyone out a bit"Probably something to do with a saturation of CGI films. Probably before they even saw a trailer, only 6 months between releases, they'll have known it was coming though. They aren't going to secure $90m funding at the click of the finger. A pitch like "Live action movies with CGI games characters are going to be massive, pokemon are getting in on it we should too" probably secured it. During the late 90s/early 00s any CGI cartoon made bank, and traditional cartoons were seen as risky after things like treasure planet, its overly saturated now so they flop if the quality isn't there.Maybe. Mario was misunderstood. It wasn't what people expected but it has some interesting ideas. There’s a rumour they’re changing the character to match the original. Bigger eyes and a normal smile.
It’s a matter of will this be shitter than Mario
