Songs sung by the drummer...



The China Drum drummer was the lead singer and not just singing the odd song. North East band too.

Husker Du drummer sang the odd good 'un too.
 
There’s a band that tours around the southern states called Cowboymouth who have a lead singing drummer. Puts on a good show, he’s mental and demands audience participation and calls out people in the crowd if they aren’t standing, dancing, following his commands etc. - canny turn.

He is. At the Foos gig (Reading Festival 95) they were playing in the big tent and it was rammed an hour or so before they were due to come on. People were fainting with the heat (I was down to my boxer shorts). The gig was a shambles, security kept stopping it mid-song as people were hanging from the poles etc. During the gaps Grohl would tell us stories (told a brilliant one of Kurt Cobain hoying a bag of sick out of a train window in Italy and hitting some neo-nazis). He came across brilliantly, had a stutter :)
