Please keep general discussion about the new forums in this thread.

General Issues
There are bound to be some teething problems with the new setup. That we have not found in testing.
Please be patient, but if you are seeing problems which are not described below, report them in the Help Desk Forum

Search Results
The Search index is slowly being rebuilt over the next 12 hours and may not return accurate results yet.
Please be patient.

Layout
With the exception of some older browsers (see Internet Explorer below), the layout of the forum should adjust automatically depending upon the type of device and size of screen you are using. Not all features of the forum are available on smaller screens. This is deliberate, however if you are experiencing difficulty viewing the forums on your computer or device, please report this in the Help Desk Forum giving device type, operating system and version, browser and version. I can't fix problems I am not aware of.

Private Message/Conversation Limits
The way that Private Messages work on Xenforo is different to vBulletin.
They are now known as Conversations, and when you start a Conversation, all replies to that Conversation will fall under it. (ie. it is more like message threads on the main forums than the old email-like system)
Normal users are limited to 10 concurrent conversations (to delete a conversation you 'leave' it.)
There are currently no limits on the length of each individual conversation.

Unfortunately, each Private Message imported from vBulletin is treated as a separate conversation, so many of you will find you have exceeded the 10 conversation limit.
You to "delete" the conversations by "leaving" them (select the checkbox and follow instructions) to free up space for new conversations.

Internet Explorer
If you are using Internet Explorer Version 7 or earlier good luck - it is time you upgraded to a new browser.
IE9, IE10, Firefox, Safari, Opera and Chrome should all work well.

If you are using Internet Explorer Version 8 (quite likely if you are still running Windows XP so may affect quite a few people at work places)

IE8 does not support the responsive design features used in these forums to allow it to scale to whatever screen size you are using.
You may find it better to use a fixed "Skin". To select this, look at the bottom left of the page, you should see a link "RTG2014". Click on this and you will be able to select an alternate theme better suited to IE8. Note that this setting will be remembered for your user, so unless you change it back to "RTG2014", it will not work well when you switch device to a tablet/phone or more modern browser.

Forumrunner
There has not been a version of forumrunner released yet that is compatible with the latest release of the Xenforo software we are using. When there is, I will evaluate it and potentially install it. In the meantime you should find this forum much easier than the previous one to use in a mobile browser - try it and bookmark it.
