They are still in the champions league, fa cup and not to far from the top four

It’s only a fortnight since they beat juve away in the champs league. This is not a bad team, when motivated

Man Utd need a recognised top manager not an ex player who failed at Cardiff in management

Top 4 is gone. They are not pulling back 12 points with GD. Or 9 on 2 teams. Chelsea in 4th are currently on course for 83 points. United could only afford to drop 6 for the rest of the season to match that.

He'll do alright. Pretty much anyone but Jose is going to improve the atmosphere. Put their best player back in the team. Stick Martial in as he is the only one who looks like scoring goals at the moment. Fred will literally be 'like a new signing' now they have a manager who might play him now and then.

That squad could manage itself to better results than it is currently achieving.

12 point deficit. That was retrieved back in the day, iirc . Who knows but with a motivated team again, Man Utd are capable of it

Those were the days 75 points would get you a CL place and 90 would almost guarantee you a league title. The top 3 are on course for 90+. The entire top 5 have an unusual amount of points and don't look like they are slowing down soon. Leicester won the league with 81 points. You'd be lucky to get in the top 4 with that this year.

To be seen. Imo if Solskjær is appointed, that is showing how far Man Utd have dropped

What are solksjaers managerial qualifications at the level Man Utd are and aspire to be ?

They are still in the CL, FA cup and are 11 points off the top 4 with 21 games to go .... appointing a caretaker with 5 games to go is understandable, with more than half a season to go is bizarre. United risk an embarrassing low finish, I don’t think it’s a case of Mourinho at Chelsea when they were deliberately not trying either, the points United have won suggest the players were giving their all, just not good enough.
Biggest club in the world ...and looking for a caretaker manager. Unbelievable.

None. Which is why he is the interim manager. I guess they needed rid of the guy who was pulling the club apart and no one qualified wanted the job on an interim basis at this point in the season. Appoint someone the fans like who knows the club a bit and do it properly for next season. It makes some sense, even if only to allow time for a proper search.

That’s why I called it a huge gamble earlier. There is a possibility that Man Utd don’t finish even in a europa league spot if the players can get rid of a manager like mourinho, what do you think they’ll do with a Solskjær?

They obviously want an in work manager who is unavailable until next season. It’s a huge gamble they are taking

As for the fans liking him, let’s see what happens if they lose two in a row

Proper search?

It's Man Utd ffs. Ok Pep and Klopp won't go there but just about any other fucker would take it

Suppose it means Poch.

Well, Real Madrid have done exactly the same thing and they are even bigger. Bin off the toxic coach, replace with steady club legend Solari/OGS. It's better than appointing someone they're not convinced by for years.
Bayern did very similar a few times over with Heynckes.

What stung you on the balls, its a football forum you nugget.
Quite surprised that you were unable to read my post without picking up my point. I will key slowly so that you can read it more easily..
Oh .. 'sting you on the balls"? I didn't reply in that mode. Few people on there care about their demise. We have our own club.

We are in League 1. Real football, without the ballet dancing, the high board diving, the histrionics, the pathetic post match interviews or much of the faux anger you have just displayed.

I suggest you move you move to a board where your approach is more .acceptable. perhaps a Man U. one. There will be loads of debate on the topic you cherish. You will find loads of pals there.

Tbh i don't really care but if I was them id just get Zidane and buy two decent defenders. Boom! Problems solved.

You can’t compare Solskjær to heynckes mind. Not in the same universe on managerial experience and quality

Your comparison to solari is fair but Solskjær was a failure with Cardiff in the premier league and all the current Man Utd players obviously didn’t care for mourinho and will just play for Solskjær?
