I actually like Sunday Brunch, but that’s hilarious.Tim Lovejoy has been stealing a career for far too long.
This is a particularly good point

Far too PC and woke for the proper blerks on hereQuite like Rushden when he's doing the guardian podcast tbf.
Max Rushden is an excellent host of the Guardian podcast, one can only assume he looks back on his Soccer AM days with pure disdain. Type of fella who holds his hands up to be fair.
Agreed.I like him but listening to TS on a saturday and autobigraphy wars comes on it promptly gets turned off...its fking awful
They'd never do stuff like Ho Chi Minger or take the mick out of womens football, like Lovejoy did. Not acceptable today. It worked back in the day, but half the stuff they had on it back then wouldn't be deemed suitable for viewers now...the piss taking, the Soocerette.
They'd probably pull the old 'Big Breakfast' from airing these days due to having interviewon being held on a bed!
Aye, i would love to see the viewing figures when his shows are on. Bet they drop rapidly!Nice bloke but his shows are shit. He’s got the main Saturday morning slot on talkSPORT as well which is ‘fun’. On a Saturday I want good sport show, not some daft **** doing quizzes and ringing his mates up.
The world has become a boring place mate. What was best about the show and what made it a laugh just wouldn’t be acceptable in the modern day, that to me is what makes it shit today as much as (if not more than) the change of presenters. Great show of its time in the 90s to early-mid 2000s but society has changed dramatically and the show having to adapt to that just didn’t work.
It's cringing as mate.I like him but listening to TS on a saturday and autobigraphy wars comes on it promptly gets turned off...its fking awful
It's honestly absolutely awful, agreed.
Years ago pre smartphones and wifi etc, I used to switch it on to check the tables or genuinely to get informed news as it was quicker than plugging in the old dsl cable into the pc (from the phone socket downstairs, upstairs to the pc) and taking about 5 minutes to switch on and 5 mins to load up google and the bbc website via dial up internet. This was like early/mid 00s.
It had a purpose then.
It's pointless now, waffles on about not much at all. You could read a page on a website within seconds rather than the same things being blandly repeated on a loop on SSN every hour all day.
Them 2 blokes who rattle on about transfers / club finances give me the creeps anarl.
It is like, give me gorilla hands and the Scottish bloke all day not been the same since they got the boot. As much as I like Davy being a mlf there's something about keys and Gray back then.
No that's on bbc1Yeah it had it's time and place loved it late 90s early 00 soon as love joy and Chamberlain went it was pointless.
I actually blame Tim Lovejoy for most of the problems in the modern world.
The absolute monumental tosser
Soccer AM was very much like the Fast Show back in the day. Lots of catch phrases delivered by characters like Sheep Head “light drizzle” and Barry “that’s a right touch”
It was funny.
Interesting that the guy on the Social show replacing it was Baby Elvis ( or similar) on Soccer AM.
I think he’s also Judith Chalmers’ son, so he’s had a leg up in the industry.
