Revealed: Here's Who Is Actually Running NHS Test And Trace - HuffPost UK

It really is scandalous that Boris keeps talking about the NHS systems being overloaded when it is run by a vast array of private companies, who dress their employees in NHS clothes.

Read the article to see just how many different companies are involved, with all of those different management structures in place is it any wonder that things aren't corodinatef. I must admit I was surprised at the long list of different private companies.

really? you do know we have an overwhelming Tory majority. not only will they have been dishing out contracts like sweeties to their mates, but most of these companies will be f***ing shite

however, this is what we voted for. everyone knew what the tories were like, its no surprise. you voted for them, then you are partially to blame

It's not the fact that the work had gone to the private sector that surprised me, if you look my other posts you will see that I have been banging on about that for a while, it is the incompetence in having so many different companies doing so many different parts of what should be a smooth single operation that surprised, even shocked me.

The giving of contracts to their mates is corrupt but you can add incompetence to that now.

its worse than both of those things, in my opinion. it is a designed and purposeful move further undermine the NHS, as the article states, the tories are insistent on calling it the NHS track and trace - this is to pass blame and ownership, to give off the impression that the NHS isnt fit for purpose, and gives more credence to their future attempts to privatise it further. they dont want to call it SERCO track and trace, as the public opinion will quickly turn against 'privatisation' . they do the same with the railways and did it with the royal mail, and probably many nationalised assets. they slowly turn these titles into something that symbolises, to the public, 'failure', justifying privatisation.

they do it with other words, like 'socialism' - they successfully over time turn public opinion into thinking its a dirty word, even though it gave us the NHS, minimum wage, all manner of worker rights, welfare state, free education etc..

I agree totally with all of that and having been posting at that line for a long time before COVID-19. That’s why I thought a separate thread was justified.

Bearing in mind the NHS were stretched before this kicked off, where do you think they would find the staff needed to run the Track and Trace system? Did you really think they simply left the wards to run themselves while they poked sticks up peoples noses ?

They could manage the whole system as a single project and employ staff, managed by people who know what they are doing. What’s more they will not take a cut for the shareholders.

I don't think it's the idea of giving contracts to private companies that's the issue. That was always going to be necessary. It's the sheer incompetence of those companies, the lack of accountability, the fact they are all mates with the cheif Tories and will be turning an excruciatingly high profit off all of this, failing at Thier objectives , and the good name of the NHS will be dragged through the mud and made out to be responsible
