So was it a foul?

It shows how shite we are when this is such a talking point. At the end of the day Pants conceded 1 goal in 90 mins. That's decent.

The reason it's a talking point is because we never managed or looked like scoring a goal ourselves. The least little mistake becomes such a big deal because his team mates aren't good enough to get him out the shit.

People also need to look at Larsson and Yedlin and see how they made a pigs ear of stopping the cross coming in in the 1st place
To be fair mate neither did they

Just seen it for the first time, don't think the jump that took him into the keeper was a foul as I don't think it was intentional, the hand ball hard to spot, and did he kick the ball from his hands?

End of the day goal stood, nowt we can do

I would have blown for afoul mate but was making the point that due to his size Pants shouldn't have been knocked off the ball so easily.
He was off the ground. How many times do we hear "your not in control" when your off the ground. That works both ways surely?

Having watched it multiple times I can see why people are saying it's a foul but I still think it was extremely poor and weak goalkeeping.
Its def a foul, if ur in the air with feet off the ground and someone jumps into u, your going to drop the ball

Foul or no foul, Pant's invited it by not coming out and protecting himself by putting a knee out. That creates the space for him to catch it or punch it and it puts a knee into berahino's back.

Poor technique

It was a foul and really that's all the question asks. Two separate arguments - we were robbed.

Second argument - should our keeper have made the refs blatant mistake irrelevant - yes he should.

Doesn't matter whether it was intentional or not, jumping into him impeded him.
Is football now a non contact sport? They collided in the air, the keeper for me should have been stronger, the jump wasn't into him directly which is what the ref probably saw

I think those who don't think it was a foul must come from another era. I know Nat Lofthouse used to do it, but you can't bundle both the keeper and the ball into the net in 2015. Thesedays you can't even sneeze near a goalkeeper without commiting a foul! A bizarre decision to award a goal. 99 times out of 100 it would be disallowed with no questions asked.

It was three f***ing fouls in my opinion.
Jumped into him, handled the ball then kicked it out his hands on the floor.

You're a bit off on the rules of the game mate. Intention has nowt to do with whether a foul has been committed or not.

Sheera didnt see anything wrong so lets target NotKrul next Sunday in the knowledge Alan will see nowt wrong

Exactly, like it or not a precedent has been set for years and years now. The ref should've applied it here.

Pantilimon should've done much better, it was still a blatant foul though.

If a player jumps to head the ball and the keeper comes out and clatters him before he makes contact with the ball would you expect a penalty to be given?
