Why would anyone need to make excuses should we be relegated? We'll have been one of the favourites to go down.

I just don't understand this acceptance that he can take us down and it's not his fault.
Never seen this kind of talk about any of our managers before.

Hopefully will be moot as thankfully, despite our poor start we are not remotely isolated.

I learned years ago never to give up on us so I'm far from resigned to relegation, along with a dozen others we're in with a fighting chance. I just didn't expect the mess to be sorted inside five months, we're not playing Champ Man here. Injuries, our financial situation, manager and staff churn, it's a perfect storm that will take years to remedy. If we do happen to go down it wont be the end of the world and I certainly wouldn't be looking for another side to follow. Shit happens in football and sometimes you have to pay a price for the mistakes that have been made, that's life.

You have just said stuff totally unrelated to my point there.

I haven't given up on Moyes yet, but think relegation would deserve the sack for any manager appointed in July and given 30 million to spend.
We'd be pissing ourselves if this was happening at another club, plenty mocking Swansea and Brad Bobly for eg.

No one complained with the tactics that saw us win three of the previous four.

We don't have the players to go and attack teams, that's the issue. It's why he has used Anichebe, as it means we can bypass the midfield.

As I predicted, we missed Watmore hugely.

Inherited a squad of 16.

Had six weeks to assess and make deals.

All facts.

Not being OTT doesn't make me a WUM. It makes me someone who understands it's been a season plagued with issues, including a summer of upheaval.

Donald Love

Paddy McNair

N'Dong (club record signing)

Steven Pienaar

Jason Denayer (a CB)

Adnan Janazaj

...all brought in by Moyes and played in midfield.

NONE of them are good enough to do the job we need to stay up.

He's frozen out a midfielder (in khazri) who has the experience and did exactly this well last season for the club.

Moyes can and should own that... Pretending he signed off on them because he had no time to find any better indicates he walked into the job without a plan, so if that's the case, again where should the blame lie??

Cue your next round of shill excuses about how he is at no fault for the worst premier league start ever.

Do we have many other problems? Sure.

But Moyes came in and made his own mess of things from the get go. Very uninspiring from someone with supposed and needed seasoned league experience.

Good post. Everyone knew we needed to improve the midfield area and he's made us weaker in our weakest area on the pitch for much of this season. Out options are rotten and then one (as you say) who made a real difference with regards to creativity last season is beyond turnstile operators regarding selection.

He improved by simply adding to it apparently

Another 'club record signing' bore  ! £13 MILLION POUNDS!!! OOOooh! It's like Dr Evil on here man
NDong's done well there in some games, so has Denayer
Moyes will learn in time that at SAFC you can never let the players relax
As it stands we're still 3 wins out of 5 games including beating the champions who've just taken the richest club in the world apart

Or none of the last 1

We got bullied and out played by Swansea who were bottom of the league. We didn't turn up on Sat. Forget Moyes signings, selection and tactics for a minute, man management and team motivation are absolutely key tasks for a manager and this is where I am not sure Moyes has what is required. BSA definitely had this and is why he got a lot out of a mediocre squad.

It was so bad in fact that Kirchoff and Anichibe were kicking off at each towards the end which is embarrassing and shows how far this team has to come to even stand a chance of staying up. Swansea looked united and it showed in their play.

He did add to it but not with what we needed at all.

BSA showed an ability for in-game management. Moyes has shown nothing of the sort, so far.

There were plenty of good performances followed up with absolute shite by Big Sam too.

He was hardly mr gung ho away from home either.

Need to get something from the next 4 games... can't afford a similar December to last where we got beat 5 in a row.

I don't disagree.

I am just sick to death of hearing Dangermoye's drumbeat that not one of our problems are Moye's fault.

He has had a major hand in putting us where we are... rock bottom after basically the worst start ever.

Is it all his fault - of course not, but this constant sniping that the problems are everything BUT him is pure comedy.

He's had his hand stirring this pot of shite for half a season now... and yes, I don't think his summer transfer business was a success. If not for bungling a striker buy and hoying a post-window punt for Anichebe, where woukld we be?

His best signing was born out of a transfer fuk up by Bain and crew.

Allardyce didn't sign Mvila despite having much longer than Moyes (who didn't even work with him) to get the deal done and Moyes gets the blame.

Ive just burst out laughing at how clueless people are

How do you make your squad, in terms of midfielders, weaker by selling none of them and adding to the squad?

He improved by simply adding to it apparently

He made it weaker by selling none of them, apparently.
