So, do we risk now being a bit complacent?

... (even though we've got the 5-1 in recent memory) or is this crop of Sunderland players not as easily satisfied as earlier ones? We've seen it too many times; on the back of a few good results and threatening to go places in the table, our team tend to switch off a bit and that you can't afford in the Premier League. Even the very best teams can afford to drop their work rate and focus during each and everyone of the 90+ minutes.

I think our young team have a hunger that we haven't seen for some years now, but there's obviously a chance for a team doing better than expectations that one or two will be a bit happy with what has been acchieved and thus drop a few % - leading to losing ground to the shall we say Top7 ...

What do you think, will this team just keep on digging in and go for it week in week out which has been the case bar the West Brom and Newcastle game (the latter was perhaps more to do with being over-awed rather than not being up for it), or will we see a trade-mark Sunderland reaction and fail to turn up for certain games, sending us into anonymity?

If we somehow now knew that we'd end up either at 6th or 12th, which one would you think were the most likely at this given moment?

I think this is a new Sunderland, with a bunch of players who are hungry and have a good attitude, and although there has to be some level of "let down" after a high(it's human nature), I think the lads will finally kick on.

Hway the lads!

Much better chance of 6th than 12th IMO

We have the potential to finish 6th but I also think we can be complacent enough to finish 12th, at the moment I have no idea which way we will go. This next set of "easier" games coming up will go a long way to giving the answer to that question, in the past we'd not capitalise on good results, if we are to push on then we have to follow a good win with an even better win.

Bent and Gyan clicking as a partnership will push us up the table too, if they do and they stay fit then we could finally qualify for Europe again.

Hopefully we are in a good position by the time January comes round, as it might persuade Short to put his hands in his pocket again so we can really push on.
