Snooker thread

Thoroughly enjoyable night at that Ronnie event at the old Fed brewery. Had front and centre seats so had excellent view of it. Was literally a couple of yards from him as he spoke. First half consisted of a interview about his life with second half had him taking questions from the audience. He was in fine form, talked openly about his addictions in the past and talked quite a bit about his Dad too. Most seemed to pay the extra so you got a signed photo with him. A very smoothly ran event.

Never ceases to amaze me the way some bellends go on. Two fellas probably in there 50s had to be kicked out for going on like pricks, shouting out random shit crack as he spoke. Totally embarrassing, they even got a couple or warning before getting booted out

Really good interview with John Virgo on the latest edition of the Talking Snooker podcast. With these older stars you worry if they are going to be stuck in the past and a bit dithering but he cones over really well and knowledgable and as sharp as a tack still

Why the hate for Williams mate? Comes across as a funny down to earth bloke
Just remember how he went in in the early days of his career, wasn't a very pleasant chap.

When you went to see Ronnie Rob did he say he was going to continue playing or do you think he'll retire soon ?

Aye potentially some interesting ties next round....

Williams v Higgins
Selby v Gilbert
Murphy v Bingham
O'Sullivan v Bingtao
Robertson v Lisowski

Just shows how hard it is for players outside the 16
