I went to a snooker match at the crowtree leisure centre in the mid 90s

Steve Davis v a very young Matthews Stevens. Davis visibly speeded up when it was announced it was live on bbc2. Pre that he crawled around the table

Davis won the match 5-1 iirc. To be fair, he hung around for autographs and chat post match

I would go to this if it was up here

Think that was the grand prix , sponsored by skoda at the time

I saw 3 matches, Higgins, White, and Davis

Shame we don't get any big snooker events in the north east

Nar, the China Open is the last one before the Crucible. Great tournament that because of the long format (best of 11s) and massive prize money at stake which really upsets the applecart in terms of Crucible standings. 2019 China Open (snooker) - Wikipedia
