there are tactics to play the one frame. Wasting shot time, putting balls safe. different game altogether but the 133 break earlier was superb at any level. Young Thai lass broke and an Indonesian player cleared every ball

You would think this suits Ronnie but he is not that much of a natural hustler, break builder yes, but if he doesnt get in first he could be out
Selby was beat no problem earlier in the day. Stuart Bingham had four chances but lost. There was a 72-72 draw which ended in a shoot out on potting the blue.
then you get games where someone scores 30 and wastes time and plays safe.

This is where Alex Higgins would have been in his element, played his best snooker when on the drink, and could play the hustler safety game also, knock in a 28 break and then not give them a sniff

Nowt to do with the shoot-out but I went to see an exhibition featuring John Virgo, Dennis Taylor and Steve Davis in Motherwell last night.
Really enjoyable and I'd recommend it to anyone who loves a bit of snooker nostalgia. Oh, and Steve Davis is a comedy genius!

Stevens definitely. He said he’d been in the bar all day and wanted jimmy to win. Couple of punters got slung out for abusing jimmy it’s been said this afternoon
Murphy was superb in this first game today, floated around the table and got a concession just over five mins
