Crowds not great here, but what a current game - must be approaching 20 mins. JMDP has had plenty of chances to get that key 2nd break.

  2. Fucking love tennis you know

Bloody brilliant. This set has been class - looked pretty much done at 3-1 but then Delpo looked in a position where he might be able to serve it out and that prior game was class. Really hope Delpo can take this set.

Definitely can't see Delpo coming back if it's 2-0. Ha'way lad.

    He's so good mind.

  7. On the one hand, would love to see Delpo turn it around in a five set classic.

On the other, I've got work tomorrow.

So, ND in 3 or can JMDP win 1? Got to favour ND in 3.

I was thinking the same. Think I'll set my curfew at 2 hours from now so if it does go a 5th then I'll be struggling.

Yeah, ND in 3. Those 2 sets have been very good though and probably the best men's final since Aus 17 already.

Would be great if he breaks straightaway.

Shame that. Think Novak will win it in 3. Really hope him and rafa don't split the slams between them next year

    Next year would love
Anyone but rafa and Novak for australia....maybe Cilic or Dimitrov
Anyone but rafa for the french...hopefully thiem
Anyone but Novak for wimbledon...hopefully Murray but doubtful, del potro maybe
Anyone but rafa or Novak for us open...would love zverev to make that slam breakthrough

You'd probably have to think Rafa French and Novak the other 3 would be the favourite outcomes as it stands.

Just posted who i hope step up next year.
Khachonov and Alex de minaur on hard courts and tsitipas on clay could come good
Del potro on hard courts hopefully

All those have big potential but I just can't really see those reaching this sort of level so soon.

That'll be that. But shame delpo didn't get the 2nd as I think we would have had a 5 setter

Tsitipas on the clay season could be a real threat come the french i think.

It's class having Delpo right back in the mix mind. If you look at his Slam timeline on Wiki, it's a crying shame just how many big events he has missed.

biggest shame is the loss of his backhand from 2010 onwards

    Great effort delpo now hold
