Small Garden Office?

This one Im looking at is already lined and insulated. I've asked how its insulated though. If its 50mm PIR board, I might just go for it.
The walls are quite thin steel so easy to drill thru but you need rubber washers to stop the leaks. You could try some sort of no more nails type product or build the cladding free standing but lashed to it, you can get them with tethering points I think
Just posted, the one I'm looking at it already lined, so can't do anything like that. Yeah, I was thinking I'm a bit stuck with some grab adhesive really.

I want them to have their own bedroom, and I'm prepared to move into the garden for them. For once, I'm actually being nice :)
Just move out, rent somewhere probably a years rent be cheaper than a decent outdoor office ;)

That metal one, the lad's just replied to say its melamine lined. Anyone know what that stuff is?

Because the melamine I know of wouldn't make sense.

There's someone on facebook selling those for about £1200. I had thought about just painting it to match the fence, then adding loads of plants and stuff. And then lining it with PIR foam sheets and painting right ontop of them

Edit 2k

Canny ugly though.
If possible build as much of it as you can by yourself, it's not that difficult and will save you a fair bit. Those Dunster ones are a bit of a rip off imo. There's another place based in Holland but deliver to the UK who do similar ranges if you want to go down the lego type approach called Tuin, bit cheaper than Dunster.

Did anyone look into these during lockdown?

With our kids getting older, and needing more space / own rooms etc, I'm seriously considering moving my office into the garden. I've probably got about £10k to spend (hopefully less!), but I've no real idea about options other than a "shed" type thing.

I'd want something with excellent insulation as I'd be working in it all year round.
Is wood the best option? Or are there better cost-effective materials out there that would last longer, be cheaper etc?

I'd probably fit a air con system too that would keep it cool in summer and warm in winter. I think you can get those for about £800 fitted, or at least that was the cheapest prices last time I looked.
Since being a member of the SMB, I feel as if I’ve followed you building and renovating your property for around ten years .

branching out into the garden area now

It never stops mate.

Just been talking to my FiL (retired builder) to sanity check my plans to knock down the downstairs bog and resize it into a proper ensuite, as we'll be moving out bedroom into what I currently use as my office (converted the garage a couple of years ago).
Need to change doorways, move the consumer unit, knock walls down etc etc.
I hate it all tbh, but nobody else is going to do it...
Do you have your own Ltd company?
Not anymore.

We’ve done a few and they’ve turned out canny. Can’t take on that type of thing now though.

Conc base ,
4x2 treated framework,
100mm celotex insulation between studs,
Vapour barrier,Cedral click cladding to the exterior,
Plasterboard,skim,internally.
Any pictures?

Ah man. I was going to do a photographic diary of the build I’m doing this summer. But then, I’m not a tradesman and thought some might like seeing the progress.
Your allowed mate as your a novice and it’s all very exciting.

However builders who do it are generally f***ing arseholes who wear Tan Dewalt boots and drive an American Style pickup thing.
