Six games (hopefully) a litmus test of LJ’s credentials to manage SAFC going forward.

Johnson took a side that looked like it wouldn't even make the playoffs into one that looked capable of going up auto. Whilst we've gone off the boil recently we're still third and if someone had said we'd have been third at this stage when the manager took over I think everyone would have taken it. If we end up going up this season, great. If not, the manager and the recruitment team need thw opportunity to shift out who isn't good enough and bring in players they feel are good enough. Johnson then gets a crack at it with his own players.
Is probably the correct answer

bu parkisons points per game ratio is higher than johnsons..implying parkinson did better with the same group?

It's Parkinson's group though. His picks chosen for his brand of anti football. We are better with Johnson and I far prefer him to Parkinson. At least we try to get on the front foot now.

I'd rather we fail bravely and boldly than be fail hiding like we did with Parkinson. Our football under Parkinson was shameful.

More Winchester’s Vodkin’s and Stewart’s ?

Is it? Only three of the players involved on Saturday were brought in under Parkinson.

Again though, he's done this whilst actually getting less points per game than Parkinson got this season.

I keep hearing this but don't really understand the relevance.

It's down to who you played and when - for example we've played Hull and Lincoln home and away under Johnson.

Johnson has taken a side from 10th (or wherever we were) up to 3rd. Surely that tells you he's managed better than Parkinson

All hope is lost then.

In fairness, Wyke looked garbage until Johnson told him where to run. And McGeady has played his best football for us under Johnson as well.
He'd scored 5 in 13 before Parky was sacked - not a bad return.

As for hope - for this season, just about.

Recruitment that happened under a wage cap that no longer exists. I'd also argue we're not going to know what Stewart is capable of until next season, given he had four months out and has only played largely as a sub.
