Sir Alex Ferguson

80 today

2,155 matches managed, with a 58.1% win percentage. You may say that it should be high given it’s Man Utd, but we forget they hadn’t won the league since 66/67 when he took over

He then won 13 league titles (of Man Utd’s total of 20), 5 FA cups, 4 league cups, 2 champions leagues and 1 cup winners cup.

On top of that he won 3 games when he managed Scotland

Some going

Superb manager. Twat of a bloke.

Hilarious the way he took the huff when we took the piss when City won the league.

It's really weird how all of these obsessive winners like Ferguson (or Klopp, Wenger, Guardiola, Mourinho) are really bad losers.

Superb management isn't it? He took a squad that was past its best and won the league by 11 points the next season.

Suppose it’s the will to win.

No way is he a twat. He was always there to help new managers starting out with advice.

Most people who have encountered him speak well of him. Having read his book he does seem intense and doesn't take any criticism on the chin really, but also seems to protect his own - players or fellow managers with gusto.

There's countless stories of players who didn't make it at Old Trafford as kids who he went out on a limb for and protected/looked after too.
