Looking at World of Final Fantasy or Final Fantasy XII - anyone know if they’re any good?
World of Final Fantasy is pretty good. Turn based and enjoyable combat but the story is atrocious (typical Square) and it's pretty easy. I could never get away with XII. Hated the Gambit system. I've written a review for World, I'll see if I can link to it.
Yeah, so I've read. I don't mind turn based battling so reading about them I might enjoy the X remaster the most. I'm subbed until 2022 on gamepass though so plenty of chance to give each of them a go
X is a masterpiece.

If you're interested. It's quite long, mind.

Will give it a nose, cheers. I get jealous of people who haven’t played Final Fantasy 7-10. Might give 6 another go as started it a while back but didn’t get very far.

Skyrim.

Really good.

Yup loved that one, just come across this thread now, played all the Elder Scrolls Games from Arena to Skyrim loved them all quirky though.
This old boy just looked to get some tips, may try LOTR The Third Age next. Also loved the Half Life Universe.Well played on the longevity of the thread.:lol::lol:

I bought Golf Story on the Switch a few weeks back, finally got round to starting it this morning. Only played around 45 minutes or so before I had to start work but it seems canny. Definitely looking forward to playing more of it

I fancy an RPG for my Switch, I'm thinking about Fire Emblem, seems to be reviewed quite well, any opinions from on here? In all honesty I'm not usually a massive RPG fan, but I fancy giving something a go
I got it when it came out, but couldn't get into it.

It's a bit different to what you usually get in an RPG, more of a strategy game with the positioning of your characters and their movements.

If I had to compare the gameplay to something I'd say its like Total War only it's a bit more turn based rather than real time, which is something else I couldn't get in to. I'm shit at those types of games.

I'll bare that in mind, I'm usually shite with anything involving strategy. I've got some other games to be getting on with but I might keep an eye out for if this goes on sale for a decent price
Final Fantasy IX is out on Xbox games pass this month

Reinstalled Kingdom Come - Deliverance last night. Played the first few hours a few year back then just stopped. Think I'm nearly back up to was previously. I think the slow pace is what stopped me plying it last time and I'm sorta getting the same vibes now. Going to try and push through to see if I get into it as I'm probably conditioned by all the fantasy and action games I've played.

Dated now but you’ll never find better than Baldurs Gate. It’s a shame that BioWare went on to Dragon Age instead. Writing, gameplay top notch.
There’s actually a third one on the way now, but developed by the Divinity lot.

3rd one has been out since October

Stated Persona 5 the other day. Played for 40 mins and I mostly achieved nowt.

Might give it another go but not sure it’s for me. Seems very Japanese, and I don’t really want to mince about socialising with oddball NPCs.

I did that. Got bored

Went back to it a few weeks ago. Got 60 hours in then spent £50 on Persona 5 royal. Now 60 hours in and caught up to where I was on vanilla version

Will save judgment for when it's complete but I'm sure I'm going to declare it my favourite game ever

I think it's one of those games that if you get into it your get really into it.
