Single Malt Recommendation

Aldi's Oliver Cromwell gin is another belter.

That the one in the green, Gordons style, bottle? It’s almost indistinguishable from Gordons to me and a few quid cheaper. They do a few specialist gins anarl, however I tried a couple and whilst not a bad price I wasn’t struck.

Avoid Aldi's white rum. Rank.

I’l walk away now as this is a whiskey thread and I know little about the stuff.

My old man is a Whisky drinker, he's been drinking Welsh Whisky as he cant stand the Island stuff (its all about the water apparently)

Got a bottle of Glen Marnoch from Aldi, honestly can't fault it. Macallan Gold is canny as well, but might be a bit over £25.

After buying a bottle for my brother for Christmas, nowt too flash looking to spend £25 tops really. Try getting him a different one every year so already tried most like Aberlour, Chivas, Old Pulteney etc think last year I got him a blended as I liked the name and bottle ( Monkey Shoulder ). He liked that manky Laphroaig ( sp? ) so obviously doesnt mind peaty flavours

Any ideas?

Glenmorangie The Original 70cl Single Malt Scotch Whisky - Tesco Groceries
