That said, there’s some strange comments on here. “Worst player I’ve ever seen”, “worst striker we’ve ever had”. Haway man, he’s clearly neither of those, is he.

Who has been worse? Very few spring to mind, he's f***ing shite, not many we have now are as bad as him and we are at one of our lowest ever positions. Vaughan was no worse in the Championship and he was absolutely terrible

Young lad playing out of position, give him a break

He’s better than both Vaughan and fletcher

I've only seen him play up front which is supposed to be his position and no he's not as good as either of those two. Both would've scored more and contributed more than he has this season. He's been absolutely atrocious up to now for us. Does absolutely nothing at all, doesn't look like he knows what he's supposed to be doing either. At least Vaughan actually put challenges in (he might have fell on his arse when he did mind), Sinclair doesn't even manage to do that

Was there last night. Tried too hard if anything and lacked any sort of composure. Quickly becoming to boo boy. He’s suited coming off the bench away from home to see games out.

Difference between him and maja was plain to see last night. We’ll be fucked if maja leaves in jan.

He probably was, but this thread appeared seconds after the game had finished with everyone saying he was awful. Seeing as it wasn't even on ifollow I'm amazed at how many people could accurately judge his performance based on Barnes and Benno's commentary.

You have a point because you saw the game. 99% of the people on this thread didn't.

Even though everybody else on the pitch was just as shit tonight he gets singled out as the reason we lost. He's our new boo boy.
Problem is he's been constantly poor, the rest haven't . And no I'm not using him as a scapegoat he's just not good enough

Embarrassing tbh!! Great way to give him confidence

And around me, he didn’t play great but was out of position. O’Nien offered very little in terms of width again because he was out of position so it’s fukky understandable but strangely has no threads started about him (that I’ve seen) not that I think either deserve a slating as I think as a whole we were poor. It’s amazing how much we miss Matthews or James as overlapping full backs to create space and chances
This...The biggest problem last night was the formation/system it just didn't work...

can't fault his grafting but he never looks like he's going to put the ball in the net. rarely gets into any sort of decent positions and then when he does has absolutely no composure. waste of a shirt at the moment and i doubt we can just send him back. hope they've a plan if Maja goes in January

Still not the most disappointing signing we made, simply because I expected him to be a bit shit before we got him, having scored 0 league goals and all.

Surely that will help his confidence issues.
I dunno if it's confidence issues or not, but it's not nice to see - especially when there are others just as bad and yet given a free ride.

Lads around me were on his case from the kick off. Can’t be helpful to the lad, he doesn’t help himself either mind.

Disgusting. Reported.

This. Nee need for it. That’s last season shit.
Aye, same where I was.

heres a list of poor players we have:

Baldwin
Flanagan
James
McGuire
Power
Sinclair
Maja

There is a lot of shite in our first team who will be peddled to the bench if we get promoted.

When he came on against Charlton in the first game of the season I thought he did well. I really thought he would improve with the game time we would be giving him during the season and we would have a good player on our hands.
Since his return from injury I’ve seen most of the game time he’s had.
He doesn’t hold the ball up well, he doesn’t really link play up, he doesn’t go past defenders, he doesn’t create chances for others and crucially he never looks like scoring.
Ok he was playing wide left yesterday but it doesn’t seem to matter where he plays he never seems to make much of an impression.
To his credit he seems to put a shift in but I just think he isn’t a very good footballer.

No confidence in himself at the moment. I dont know what his best position is either. He looked canny against Peterborough although i wasnt there and was only watching the stream. Other times he has worked hard but no end product. Last night he seemed too weak and slow on the ball. Think he's the type of player who needs to be angry to play well, he should be a big strong forward the way he's built. Hopefully he'll get some confidence. He's hardly played 1st team football before so still a huge learning curve for him. He'll be down the pecking order once everyone is fit
