Sunday nights at last orders it was like being on the terraces at Roker Park there were that many people crammed in. Great days.Believe so. Sure I read that was closing.
Loved Sinatras back in the day. Great place and absolutely packed on a saturday night or 9.30-10.30pm on a Sunday. A mate worked the can bar down the front and passed freebies out to us.
Sundays were mental. There probably wasn't that many out in reality across the whole town - just everyone went to the same pubs at the same time. A pub would go from packed to empty in 10 minutes.Sunday nights at last orders it was like being on the terraces at Roker Park there were that many people crammed in. Great days.
It took fifteen minutes to get to the bar in Digby’s. It’s probably only twenty steps from the stairs.Sundays were mental. There probably wasn't that many out in reality across the whole town - just everyone went to the same pubs at the same time. A pub would go from packed to empty in 10 minutes.
Burton House marra.Where will the welders die now?
The old gray matter has sparked into life, I think it was Marlowsprobably been mentioned but I'm not traipsing through 10 pages to find it, but what was the nighclub that was just along from it the other side of the food giant walkway and upstairs? It was absolutely shit but I remember piling out of Sinatras and into it a few times
Only one I can think is Marlows - but I don't think that was strictly a nightclub just a pub. Might have had a later licence?? Then when it was taken over and became Independent etc it was open till 2am anyway.probably been mentioned but I'm not traipsing through 10 pages to find it, but what was the nighclub that was just along from it the other side of the food giant walkway and upstairs? it seemed later but I never could handle my drinkOnly one I can think is Marlows - but I don't think that was strictly a nightclub just a pub. Might have had a later licence?? Then when it was taken over and became Independent etc it was open till 2am anyway.
Both good for beers. Not sure why but I can't really get away with the ISIS that much. Not sure why, perhaps the lighting is too light or something but just never fancy more than a couple there. What’s the Dun Cow and ISIS like nowadays? Haven’t been Sunderland centre since before Covid. Is the port of call still decent? Where else is good for craft keg beer - heard about the peacock and I know Vaud have opened a taproom but that’s over the bridge.
Was the original location as independent as well wasn’t it? Ended up having a late licence from memory.Only one I can think is Marlows - but I don't think that was strictly a nightclub just a pub. That is my memory too. Remember going in on a Saturday for a sitty down fish lot.Iirc it used to be a chippy before it was Sinatras.
