That lass is quite a well-informed footy presenter (or appears to be) but, you're right, she reads from scripts like they all do.
I'd say she's more likely to have been an aspiring actress, who didn't quite make it. She's found her niche, as the object of desire, who can read a script with a bit of passion. Perfect for sports TV.

Perhaps, but there are lasses, even North American ones (Wor Lass being one of them), that genuinely like footy and are very knowledgeable about it. One could assert the same possibility against any non-former-pro presenter.

Kept us up.
Played a role in keeping us up, no doubt. But others did too. He also made a few mistakes and let us down at times.

He's a good keeper, but he's certainly not world class - his command of his area and ability with the ball of the feet are two areas he needs to drastically improve.

He's a good goalie and, when he went, I was worried that we would not adequately replace him. However, now we have 2 good goalies and a few million quid - canny!

Good luck to the lad, though I suspect his days in Liverpool are numbered.

Female fans are great, and really understand a lot about football, but I genuinely believe you have to have played the game to fully understand it enough. I'm speaking here as someone who hasn't, and I never offer opinions on a player's individual skills. I'm always happy to talk about the match, or notice something woeful, or excellent when I see it. I don't however join in on discussions about the finer technical aspects of a players game.

He did excellent in his final season, and made a huge contribution to us staying up. But he's a very flawed keeper, and he got away with a lot of mistakes, either because the opposition failed to capitalise, or because we are Sunderland and the media didn't notice/care.

I said when he left that he might struggle at Liverpool since his mistakes will no longer go unnoticed, and the pressure will be much higher. He's probably good enough for where Liverpool are right now, but he's not good enough for where they want to be.

We got very good money for him and with Mannone and Pantillimon I don't feel like we have dropped down much (if at all).

all about personal opinion I think he is miles better than mannone

Agreed, think Mannone is pretty average.
can anyone see mannone having as good a season as mig had in his last season for us people were only raving about mannone since his penalty saves against united if people notice a lot of the goals albeit not howlers are very soft.

So were quite a few of Mignolet's. He let in some rather weak goals from distance. They're both a bit above average, but not much more than that.

fairplay mig got us more points I reckon would happily have him back here

He had a good season, he certainly won us a lot of our points, but at the time it felt like he'd played above himself (and he'd been lucky to get away with a few errors). He was quite poor before that, and he's been shaky since he left. All in all, I'm very happy with the money we got, and how cheaply we replaced him.

I expect him to be at someone like Aston Villa in a few seasons, I don't think he's good enough for a side that want to be challenging for the league and the CL regularly.

we are similar standard to villa I would welcome him back also he is still quite young for a keeper plenty of time to develop
