The point is they bought a player they cant find an effective role for....two different managers! ...
We could still have sold Dozy.
For someone who's apparently a natural finisher, he's missed some huge chances for us. Sadly though, we'd be even worse off without him.
Yep, terrible planning to bring in a proven Premier League goal scorer, I completely agree....![]()
We couldn't have though could we? Who else wanted him?The point is they bought a player they cant find an effective role for....two different managers! ...

Thought there was interest from all over Europe....jozy certainly said he had a lot of optionsWe couldn't have though could we? Who else wanted him?
None who would have stumped up any cash, just loans iirc. Toronto wouldn't even pay money, the league bought him.Thought there was interest from all over Europe....jozy certainly said he had a lot of options
He had service today and missed sittersHes a finisher ffs without any service he wont score. Have yer not noticed how utterly fuck shite we are? We wouldnt have beat the mags again without his goal.
It
It is if you don't play him to his strength's
We couldn't have though could we? Who else wanted him?
I absolutely agreeI knew the OP would get stick, but he has a point
I think Poyet might of kept us up with his boring 451 0-0 and draw stuff
Defoe has done OK at times but we have tried so many different formations since he signed
By the way he was shite today, he should of won us that game
I'm not saying Defoe for Altidore wasn't a good move, it clearly was
But there is without doubt some merit in what the OP is saying, it totally disrupted our shape and solidity. It may have been awful to watch but I think we would of stayed up under Poyet with his boring tactics and 451 formation, at least everyone knew what they were doing.
Defoe works hard and has quality, but personally I don't think it has worked out like we thought it would.
Our squad isn't good enough, and we look a bit open when trying to incorporate him at times.
Sounds ridiculous after the Mags match I know, I am not even criticising Defoe or the club for bringing him in, they had to really, but I think strangely it hasn't helped results at all, if that makes sense.
I absolutely agree
Not quite, you just don't see itThis must be a first for us?
