Significant investment

but while its fine to pint out the woers faults..thats not what people are doing..
they are talking about investment levels and yet we have spent vastly mroe than the team that beat us yesterday..so investment levels not the problem..
well of course it has to be the right investment. How many did we bring in during January, only for one of them to actually start a game? We may never know the ins and outs of what was on the table for Parkinson, but if these players haven't played, we haven't improved the first team at all. Actually spending vastly more but still be behind them is more ammunition of his cluelessness in owning a football club. Don't employ your mates Stewie lad.

didnt we pay money for a player in january? and not receiev a fee for anyone?
also dont fall into the trap of assuming that loan and free transfers are free..
mclaughlin made the league on team of the year last time he was in league one..dont know eher the league two gubbins has come from.
we outbid cghampo team for the centre half we got in january..

most teams in this league pay zero in fees..we have ospent the average again..

phil parkison isnt his mate, neither was jack ross. jack ross said he was in charge of transfers.
i think that while the recruitment at the strategic level has been poor..the individual signigns lately have been better...particularly in the centre half area...but also in midfield..
because we paid a fee as well as getng freebies?

I didn't say he was, but the recruitment team certainly are. If Jack Ross was in charge of transfers what were we paying those two clowns for? SD is responsible for those managerial appointments and the recruitment ones. If as you say, we have invested more than Coventry who sit proudly above us, then it is ultimately him to blame. SD has us in our worst position in our history and we could well end up spending another season in League one. Forgive me if I think he has made a f***ing shit job of it, whilst others blame fans

richard ghill is director of football oeprations. all clubs have them, its not a recruitment role, its aan admin one, and contract negotiating. The two things we know about his role os he told SD to stop bidding for Grigg, and SD did it anyway, and two, that Maddisonw asnt worth the £2,5m, which, as no one has paid it and he cant get into a bad champo team, has been vindicated. JR also made clear he didnt want maddison.
all clubs have scouts as well, the alternative is letting the manager sign his mates..we call that the david moyes APPROACH.
I absolutely blame SD dfr the positon we are in, and dont blame the fans at all.
The point is its incompetence that has us where we are, not lack of cash. biut people keep belating about lack of cash.

Why on earth are people talking sensibly with the idiot above

think what you want about me but Christ he talks utter shite

he’s not even a Sunderland fan.

aye lafferty cost big money

people forgetting we got rid of mcnulty to free wages?

mcgeouch

de bock

here man piss off to Oxford

PR bullshit

stick your fake spelling up your arse
how did mcnulty free wages? we signed two strikers to replace him! no way he was on more than lafferty and the kid combined!
no way the defnders that have come in are on less than de bock or mcgeoch..

Richard Hill will have a very prominent role in negotiations, funny how you say it isn't a recruitment role, but your defence of him includes one recruitment and another where he wouldn't pay that much. You can call him whatever title you want, but he is still involved in recruitment, is pals with SD and pretty f***ing shit at this and his previous roles under SD. People keep bleating about fees cos the bloke in charge keeps bleating about them and how good we are looking financially. The point remains the same, lack of cash isn't the problem, its the f***ing clowns being asked to spend it

hang on, he only wants out because of the RAWA statement, doesnt he? now you are saying he has gone mad and made uneconomic decisions? which is it? his fault, or ours?

what has it got to do with one defeat? many of us have been pointing these same things out for nearly a year. and here we are, on a continuous downward spiral, but to point out the owners faults is pathetic? at what point are we allowed to ask questions of him?
These threads didn't exist three weeks ago.

To counter what you are saying, why is this thread created now, today of all days if results have no bearing.

I fully understand criticism of the regime but this board over reacts to every poor result.

recruitment involkves the selction of players,
negotiating involves getting the deal over the line.
in his previous roles under SD he got the club to their highest ever league positon..one they havent replicated since, in any business one person identifies the need, the other does the negotaiing..their is even a word for the latter fucntion..procurement..on corntracts manager.
and yes it is the people being asked to spend it..the managers and the chief scout.

Can you explain how Jack Ross was in charge of transfers, but did not want Will Grigg ? Also, why did we not sign our no.1 target who went to Hearts for just £150,000 , when SD had stated we will give Phil what he needs and wants (obviosuly within reason, which presumably 150k is ?)

and yet people on here say he bought it for fuck all? now he cant even sell it?
sounds like he overpaid and safc is a horrendous investment..
I’ve read some shit on here, the majority of it written by you, but this takes it to a whole new level!!
Someone band this clown...

Kyle Lafferty was bombed out by a Norwegian club no one had heard of and was without a club but aye we paid plenty for him  There was no one else remotely interested in him.

Tommy Smith had more trials than the Krays but aye we will have spent plenty.

Come on man.
