and they had to put a lot of cash in becaus eof the heavy losses..

and the latest media report is not asking for £40m..

whata £30m profit? stop making things up? they will haave hto have put in about 12-£15m in addition to the purchase price..thats between SD and juan..juan certainly put in £3m..
there is no way they can have not put in cash since they came here..the club wouldnt have been able to spend so lavishly in that scenario..vast sums unheard of in this league..

e has put in more than £10m..which is the para money he used..
the rest went to pay a club debt..despite your lies..if the debt wasnt paid SAFC would have been in court fighting attempts by SBC to us into administration..the para money was theirs legally..not SAFcs and not stewrats..because the loan ellis took out was secured against them..SD had no lega choice but to pay the £25m to them..he didnt benefit from it at all..

juan paid £3m for his stake..there is £3m immediately gone into the club..

what was it 3mill for 20%
Ok there’s your price

not worth a penny more
and when he sells he needs to pay back the parachute Payments

youre a f***ing fraud. You ain’t a Sunderland fan

Go away

The debt hasn't been repaid, and Donald can't sell without their approval under the terms of the loan, so they have a say in what's going on for sure.
Why the procrastination ? Has SD not come out recently and said nothing happening right now ? Why would they hang around indefinitely ?

Most supporters are not interested in the history or finer points of the purchase we are interested in the here and now . Some clarity on the expired deadline of the club and the future of any change in timescale as the uncertainty is affecting a lot of staff . I do not think many people would begrudge Steward Donald making a small profit as long as he safeguards the future of the club by selling to the most suitable buyer who would have the potential to take the club forward by having the finance to do so . What the club needs is leadership and stability which due to the board being short handed appears to be lacking at this time .

Simple fact is that the lack of investment in terms of paid fees on players has damaged us this season. Having to rely on Wyke or Lafferty to get us the goals for promotion is enough evidence TBH.

Exactly. We lost Cattermole, Matthews and Oviedo quite understandably due to their wages, and Honeyman and James were sold at the first sign of a decent offer. They were all an integral part of the first team squad last season and losing them wouldn't have been an issue if we'd have replaced with decent quality reinforcements. Instead we signed the captain of a relegated Walsall side, a full-back with pedigree in League Two only (McLaughlin) and an ageing centre forward with a goal ratio in England of about 1 in 7/8.

Our use of the loan market during Donald's tenure has been woeful too. Semenyo looks like this seasons Sterling, John hasn't been fit since he signed and De Bock was largely lauded as one of Leeds' worst ever players.

Then we go back to last January and spunking loads on Grigg who would have been finished here by May if we'd have gone up anyway, and a finished Leadbitter.

The scouting and recruitment in the last 18 months has been poor, even when we have invested we've got it wrong, but Donald opened his mouth about having "A budget that rest of the league would envy" and "Significant/Sufficient investment" etc when in reality it's been proven to be absolute rubbish and we've assembled a barely adequate squad in a poor league that will need to be dismantled again whatever the outcome of this season.

didnt we pay money for a player in january? and not receiev a fee for anyone?
also dont fall into the trap of assuming that loan and free transfers are free..
mclaughlin made the league on team of the year last time he was in league one..dont know eher the league two gubbins has come from.
we outbid cghampo team for the centre half we got in january..

most teams in this league pay zero in fees..we have ospent the average again..

i think he was naive and over enthusiastic..over confident of his ability to get football decisions correct.
lots of business peope go mad when they own a football club and make terribly uneconomic decisions..

hang on, he only wants out because of the RAWA statement, doesnt he? now you are saying he has gone mad and made uneconomic decisions? which is it? his fault, or ours?
This is new.

One defeat and this message board goes insane. It's pathetic.

what has it got to do with one defeat? many of us have been pointing these same things out for nearly a year. and here we are, on a continuous downward spiral, but to point out the owners faults is pathetic? at what point are we allowed to ask questions of him?

oh its his fault.
i dont agree with his view about the fans in the broad sense. but he has neeeded to sell some shares for a while or otherwise attract other capital (which he has done twice and regardless of RAWA)

they cant man, they are unbelievably educated in business. I don't think over exuberance can be a defence of a good businessman making a pigs ear of a deal

but while its fine to pint out the woers faults..thats not what people are doing..
they are talking about investment levels and yet we have spent vastly mroe than the team that beat us yesterday..so investment levels not the problem..

i think football heart rules head...so many lower league clubs get very talented business people, and rich ones, taking over, and then making a mess of it.
