It's a rubbish argument to be fair. If you were trying to sell a house, and it had a hole in roof that was going to lead to internal damage, it would be idiotic not to repair the roof

Exactly. A club on top of the league, with a squad that could hold it's own in the championship, is clearly going to be more valuable than a one scraping around the playoffs of league 1

Well hopefully they all come in and start on Saturday, in place of Wyke, hume and dobson/power, and if our recruitment team have done thier homework properly then they should all be improvements on the dropped players.

That would beg the question though , why weren't they already starting? Could have had 6 points this week instead of 1 and be top of the league now

There were signs before the Fleetwood game that the team needed freshening up, and the way we started the Fleetwood game made it more obvious.

Cherry pick players? Okay. What do the club say?

"We have huge potential and massive crowds. But we've been run on and off the pitch so badly that basket case would be an understatement. Oh, and an element of the support will be on your back if you don't hit the ground running. In fact, some will be even before you kick a ball."

Not quite the tempting offer that some of our supporters seem to think it is.

Haway mate. An element of every clubs support will give players stick if they don’t perform/try or whatever. It just so happens we get more fans than the majority of teams in this league.
without being patronising, we should be able to sign players good enough to enjoy playing In Front of our crowds and thrive on the fact we demand a performance level that is minimum 100%.
top players in this league aren’t that hard to spot.

Needs to get Wyke out of there. Give Lafferty an hour at least, if it doesn't happen for him, fair enough but Wykes shot to bits.

We will pay the most money... would do.

Wyke is shot to bits. Even supporters of his can see that. He needs binning off. I know the cupboard is bare but we have to try the other options as the current one isn’t working. The real tragedy of all this is Grigg. At league 1 level he was an utter fortune.

You’d have to be a very gullible, or a total moron to believe Donald had any intention of spending any more in January than he did.

We'll never know now, will we?

Well done with the timing of the joint statement, fanzine owners and RAWA leadership.
Course it is. He's got 10 million burning a hole as he hasn't touched a penny of it.

You mean the loan the owners took out? Do you really think they were going to spend that after being told to leave, rather than just pay it straight back?
He was in radio newcastle after the fanzines put out that statement saying our transfer window plans hadnt changed

mind i believe that as he had ne intention of spending anything imo

The plans in place might not have changed, but there was still the possibility that they might decide later to spend more. That possibility was taken away from us by the fanzine owners and RAWA leadership.
Do competent business people throw a huff and not bother due to customer feedback?
If you believe that then that’s a bigger insult to Stewart Donald than what most have said.

Nothing to do with being in the huff, it's not some sort of "huffy retaliation" for them to decide not to put more money in after being told to leave, it's a competent business decision and pure common sense.

it simply isnt, and that isnt true. this club, with a proper centre forward, sitting top of the league and with squad capable of championship survival would be 10 times easier to sell than a one scratching around the playoffs.

it is the exact opposite of a competent business decision and pure common sense. This team, and club, could be sitting at the top of this stupid league, with a small amount of intelligent decisions. that would be better for him, make the club a better prospect for potential buyers, and of course make it better for us supporters. he has taken another direction though, of purposely doing the bare minimum for the club, happy to accept whatever shite we throw up, and only put any effort into making sure the fans blame each other rather than uniting to blame the one party responsible for all of this. and it seems to be working a treat. just like the tories

so we never sign anyone ever again? if you read my posts on this thread and a million others, ive never advocated throwing disproportionate money at problems, i want us to rectify issues, or upgrade weak spots in the squad, intelligently, through proper scouting and planning, with a clear system and objectives. that doesnt mean we need to spend unnecessarily, just spend smarter
