not bad hales is scoring big runs, so he wont get a run out. maybe in a t20

Cook
Hales
Ballance
Bell
Root
Buttler
Stokes
Ali
Plunkett
Broad

Buttler needs to be much higher up the order he is one of our best batsman.
Rashid in for Plunkett if we need two spinners.
Ali deserves another chance imo.
Jordan 12th man for his fielding.

Cook
Lyth
Ballance
Bell
Root
Ali
Buttler
Woakes
Rashid/Wood
Anderson
Broad

Broad at 11

Stokes simply hasn't done enough to bat at 6. And he isn't trusted with the ball. He leaks runs

Dunno.

All I can see is whoever plays will get splattered in the Ashes.
I'm not sure they will

They are short an opener and a 3

Smith looks good but Clarke has a bad back

Haddin is getting on

Johnson, Starc and Harris are clearly a good attack but Harris could break down at any time and Jimmy is proven in English conditions

Cook
Lyth

Modern Ali
Buttler
Plunkett
Wood
Broad
Anderson

I almost wish Jordan wasn't as good a fielder as he is, because on that basis alone he's pretty much guaranteed to be starting the summer test matches. - no place for Stokes as he isn't good enough to bat 6/7 and his bowling is a little powederpuff at this level

modern ali.
Sounds like an Alexi Sayle character from the Young Ones

I think Broad needs some time out of the side. He bowling in rank average and his batting is worse than mine

We look worryingly shambolic just a few months ahead of the Ashes....

Didn't we say this in 2013/14?

Same side with Hales in for Trott.

Feel sorry for Lyth, wasted opportunity and unsure of his form now he hasn't played for weeks? The likes of him and Plunkett need to play well in county games to assess them IMO.
