I,m only cheering on Ghana as it,s a joke of a friendly to raise money for the FA after over doing it on the stadium.I only want the Sunderland lads to do well/score etc or otherwise i wouldn't be too fussed.

Some on here are twisting about people not cheering on England, but it's not a competitive match. That's why the manager has took the piss out of the sell out crowd, by saying he will make 11 changes a couple of days before the game.If they don't give a fuck, then why should i? I'm Sunderland first, then England and always will be

Can't argue with any of that.
As I said earlier, couldn't give a fuck but would like to see 'our three' shine (and get through safe).

Also as I said, only watching it cos it's on ITV.

These fellas don't rely on facts, they prefer to base their opinions on instinct and blind prejudice.

Bullshit. It is a fact that the poll asks who people think will win, you're the one pretending it means "who do you want to win" (as if a poll on safc.com would be representative anyway)

Without a doubt. We don't need any more bloody injuries.I'm not that fussed for Ghana

I remember cheering on Jones a few years back against England, then was totally gutted when he was out for god knows how long (if he ever came back the same)

I am only trying to drum up attention for The Sunderland lads down here by keep telling everyone about how i'm Ghana for the night. Trust me, the gooners were wanking themselves silly when we got beat by France, saying how good Nasri was, and how Arsenal had brought him on.I just want some attention on our lads for a change.

Like I've said, if you don't see that a huge preference towards Ghana indicates a bias, despite England being de facto favourites, then it's not my fault.

Capello indicated that he is playing a weakened team. Ghana have excellent team spirit and will be up for the game, which is probably why people who voted chose Ghana.

You can't ask a question in a poll, then change the complete meaning and context to fit your anti-England agenda.

Are you seriously suggesting that the poll is not indicative of a big Ghana-bias?

Yes.

I have absolutely no affiliation to Ghana whatsoever, just because for a brief period of time in our history we have a few of their players in our team, its no reason to stick your head right up their arse.

Some people are making themselves out to be right cheb ends on here tonight

OK then, I suppose we'll just have to leave it at that then.

It's like saying "who will win Barcelona or Sunderland." I don't think the most biased Sunderland fan would have us down to win. But in your book this would be a clear bias towards Barca, and show that Sunderland fans want Barca to win.

What I'm suggesting is, if you asked this question of 500 people in Sunderland, an awful lot more would answer "Sunderland" than would if you asked the question in, say, Nottingham.

If you can't see that a poll, in which three quarters of the people asked say that an underdog will win, shows a bias then you are either young, naive, ignorant or uneducated. In that respect my argument has come full circle and I can see why you're in the "blindly patriotic" minority. Thus proving my point. Cheers.
