Should we be worried?

I was told that Backburn bought a bloke called Bradley Dack who won player of the year in league 1 and he cost 300k...

Why can’t we get four or
Five like that and really bed the team
Out

Yep, these were the signings I was expecting and hoping

I really dont think that is unrealistic either

Do you understand the budget rules? Has this not already been explained, we have to get the big earners off the books before we can bring in new players are break the EFL budget rules. That is not a lack of funds, its a temporary problem caused by having numerous players on the books on £40k odd a week.

We've already got rid of Wilson, O'Shea, Rodwell, loanees going back & then players getting a pay cut (who we signed last season). Also brought in 5 mill for McNair so can't see how we can be in risk.

Or maybe they are trying to spend absolutely none of their own money.

so what if they are? they've only been at the club 6 weeks. i'd rather them sort out the utter shitfest of a clusterfuck that the club, especially financially, has became before they know how and where to invest properly. are they really gonna walk in the door and just start hoying millions of pounds around at the best players in the division? thats a great strategy and definitely will work and won't leave us at more risk

I was concerned when we got relegated twice in 2 years, I got concerned when the owner threw money at con artists, I got concerned with the aj trail. This is the least concerned I've been in 5 years at least

well you should be because the squad needs a serious f***ing injection of quality

The biggest clusterfuck was sorted out by Short, not these 2

That is a fact.

Cheers lad but meh you seem concerned enough for us both, I'm going to wait and see.

Which is totally fair enough

I get more annoyed at the abuse people get for daring to criticise them or question them

As far as I am concerned they need to prove themselves, and I don;t get fooled by a couple of pointless podcasts

They may well turn out to be brilliant, but fans have every right to ask more about a few very questionable decisions

There was way way too much information in the last one

the stuff about cattermole, honeyman and their agent was way out of line IMO

Whys that then? Last season everybody was going ape shit as we were getting screwed by agents. Now we have owners who are explaining just what agents are trying to do and people like you are slagging them off for that too? You need to make your mind up but lets be honest you will only ever be happy when you are slagging off the club.

I thought wtf is reidy doing when he signed Phillips .

Jack ross seems to know what he's doing.
Based on what exactly, the standard of players he’s used to looking at would struggle to get a game in the conference, he’s coming from the Scottish championship.

You give enough abuse out for anyone, on either side of the debate.

Its totally unprofessional that is why

Some of your posts tonight have been insane

sorted? he wiped debt which helped massively, but we were losing reportedly £500k per month in its current state. you can't walk through the door and pretend that the whole club in healthy, in a great position as an organisation, no one needed sacking, even members of the board. the whole club needed restructuring man. they will have been fire fighing for the first few months

Because we have got around £20 million of transfer fees to pay out on August 1st?

We also still have Catts, Oviedo, Kone, Khazri, Ndong etc taking £30k to £40k a week out of the club. Given our wage bill for the season can only be 60% of our turnover that represents a bit of a problem. Get some of these lot off the books this week then we should start to see some movement just like we did when Rodwell left.

I think it’s fair to say the players we’ve signed are total unknowns. I feel optimistic about Mcgeouch but the rest could have us top, middle or bottom of league one. We have no idea. Which is disappointing as our new owner had me thinking we’d mop up thes best players in league one

Aye

If you think 130 million worth of debt wasnt the biggest problem at the club then there is no f***ing point carrying out this conversation
