Should the club sell tickets from stalls?

Just thinking - maybe a few stalls with tickets from defined areas at reduced prices eg front 6 rows of north stand etc

In town centre, galleries - places like that. Make it easy for people to buy them - there's a big assumption from me that many people are simply too lazy to buy but might of it were in front of them. Passing trade if you like

They do in Spain, sell them in paper shops and some pubs, so a canny idea for me like

Good idea that Carlos. I am sure you could previously buy them from club shops in Bishop, Washington, Metro Centre.

If the club haven't considered this, then maybe they should. Especially like the idea of reduced price tickets for the normally sparsely populated areas of the stadium.

would they not need to sell then to pubs for wholesale ie a bit cheaper?

I think they would have to have some benefits/free tickets etc, but in any case a canny idea, imagine someone waking up after a night on the jolly with 40 Sunderland tickets in your wallett and a visa bill for £1,160 pounds

haway no excuses get to the match

a club of our size should get at least 40,000 for a game like this . 20 quid in against a top 4 team and a great chance to get to a quarter final and loads of people are saying im watching it on telly or garn to the pub to watch for fook sake gan to the match you part time fookers

Celtic sell tickets at all their club shops according to a previous poster. For cup matches we should try selling in Durham, peterlee and Newcastle, might persuade some fellow season ticket holders to take the plunge.

Re: haway no excuses get to the match

I'm not. Got me daughter this weekend so we're gonna watch it on the telly. Shes a bit to young to go at the minute.

Was shopping in Newcastle last week and you can buy their match tickets from HMV in Northumberland Street.
The easier accessibility can only be a good thing imo.

The club used to have small storews in the in-shops in Chester and Bishop they would have been ideal but to cut costs they were closed

The club do need to look at how they engage with the fans in the sticks.

The more I think about this and read posts like this, the more I think this idea has legs
