I see the biased BBC currently have Ferange on.

The relevance is to show that the BBC's self regard is endemic and long standing. The Daily Mail were similarly tardy also as you say,bad were many others, though they did not take money from the public purse.

Farage will get his occasional airing, although when he was actually in politics and his party polled much stronger than the Lib Dems, he would get a tiny fraction of the airtime devoted to them.

It's just how it is now. The broadcast media are now almost all left leaning.
As it happens, by the way, I am a paid up member of the Labour Party and would probably pay for the BBC if it were voluntary. It just should not be compulsory.
