What makes the atmosphere in british football absolutely piss on all other leagues is the spontanious nature of it. I've been to football matches all over the world and no one else has anything like it, sunderland fans used to be famous for the roker roar.

And now we have people who want to set up some "organised atmosphere", just a further attempt to sterilise the game and take away what makes our league special. And you don't even realise it.

For the majority of league games it doesn't even work for these teams whose atmosphere you want to emulate so badly.

f***ing hell :lol::lol::lol::lol:

nee one said anyone is inferior. people rightly, point out that those not wantin a better atmos are self defeatin. very very odd. still, at least oneill and short are tryin to do summat and some fans are doin their bit despite the negative toss on here.

I think you will find that most of the critics of your 'style' of atmosphere creation have taken part in atmospheres at matches that did not require banners or flares or 'bouncing' or choreographed semaphore displays............they were spontaneous outpourings of support, mainly well fuelled by alcohol, but they were 'fun' and maybe we are looking back misty-eyed and rocking on the porch with a can in hand but don't take it personally young fella..........think for yourself and don't be a lemming.

Good post.

Maybe some see this attempted improvement as merely a vessel to promote themselves.
"Don't worry about a thing" , do you really expect others to join in with that?

like the full end at several away games? like a full ajax stadium does?

and even then, they couldnt live with some of the atmospheres you see on the continent. like it or not all seaters have killed the spontanious atmospheres. hence the best now are the ones where fans are organised. also, the kp, at liverpool had flares goin for years (and i dont mean the trousers).

cheers for the youngun comment tho. havent had that for years :cool:

Couldnt believe when I read it tbh, atmosphere at English grounds has been getting worse each season for about 10 years now

To say it is better than games in Germany for starters is bordering on madness imo

of course its better marra, they are organised and thus its shite. :lol:

Yep, the stuffing of Fulham season before last was forgotten about cos a few lads sang a Bob marley tune

fair play to those involved. sang for the team despite us gettin hammered. cant see owt wrong with that.

think i will leave this one alone cos you have the usual suspects havin digs at fellow supporters who want to improve the atmos (as wanted by our owner and gaffer). very sad days when sunderland fans dont want to have a good loud crowd helpin the team do well. in fact id say its pathetic.
