What makes the atmosphere in british football absolutely piss on all other leagues is the spontanious nature of it. I've been to football matches all over the world and no one else has anything like it, sunderland fans used to be famous for the roker roar.
And now we have people who want to set up some "organised atmosphere", just a further attempt to sterilise the game and take away what makes our league special. And you don't even realise it.
For the majority of league games it doesn't even work for these teams whose atmosphere you want to emulate so badly.
If you've been to any German games and you still think British football atmospheres are the best, then I'm not sure what you think constitutes a good atmosphere. When I was in Germany a few months ago for a meaningless mid-table end of season game, the home fans still sang for 90 minutes non stop, in a way I only see English clubs do on the really big occasions.
German fans are a class above the English in my opinion. Home fans in Germany behave like the away fans do over here i.e. singing loads. It massively helps that they're stood up for 90 minutes and can drink on the terraces like, but still, much better than in England.
