Short tipping in a resteraunt

In a Paris restaurant, we were well looked after by it's Chinese owners....we tipped well, but not ridiculously, was dirt cheap and we left about 20%. He returned with a bottle of spirit and these shot glasses )with tiny porn images in the bottom that became visible once the glass was full) and proceeded to make us drink for free for the next hour......he spoke no english, and us very little french but we had a cracking time.

ACcually, me my dad and brother were in a place on Sat afternoon....he wanted to pay and it was 48 quid and left 50. He was offended when I said it wasn't enough and I'd pay the tip as he felt that the £2 was adquate. I stuck a tenner down and he went mad, we eventually settled on a fiver but he took the money to the waitress so I couldn't hoy any more in when he wasn't there.

He's far from tight, but his generation seems to have a problem with the notion of it.
I'd of expected to get sucked off for that. By the waitress like, not yer fatha.

Tip whatever the service deserves, I have only ever not tipped once or twice but say The bill is £50 I would probs give....

Bare min service, none.
Polite min service £5
Good service and shows genuine interest in you having a memorable evening£10-£15, thing is when people say I am not tipping cos I don't get tipped shite service can spoil and evenings entertainment so is a valuable part of a night.

I don't always try and tip on as a % purely in that I dont' see that if I've bougtha bottle fo wine for £30 over £15 then why should I pay mroe in tip for something that is tyhe same effort.

also I migth go to a decent yet good value italian.. the staff int ehre migth work exceptionally hard and a tip percentage there migth work out at a coupel fo quid yet I go to some mardy posh place and the tip percentage works out at 15-20 quid

I woudl never do less than £2-3 per head wherever I was if I'd had drinks and a coupel fo courses.

I think £10-12 for a table fo 4 is not bad especially if you think that waitinbg staff migth do 8-10 tables a day minimum

Have you been drinking that wine today?!

If I was out in a group of twelve and one of them was picking up half the bill then I wouldn't criticise him for his tipping policy, or if I did I'd do it to his face.

That's just me though.

i think mr pink had it spot on. why the fuck should people tip? maybe if theyre really nice or summit but am i fuck tipping for the hell of it

Normally just round up whether the service is good or shit. A bill of £21.10 I'd pay £25 and a bill of £24.56 I'd pay £25.

Don't see why I should tho, I'm a baker and no one fuckin tips me when I make them a tasty loaf or bread bun, twats !!

3 pund 90 tip fuck that like
