Another vote for talk talk here.

Joined with them when I moved into my new flat at start of February.

Got an installation date of 25th Feb which was a bit longer than expected as they don't do installs on weekends and it was too short notice to take time off work for an earlier date. Then had to ring and change the date as I needed to be at work that day, so booked for 7th March, no problem I was told on the phone. 7th March came round and I waited in all morning as they said the guy would come between 8am-1pm. Got to 12pm and no sign of him so I thought I'd ring them just to see if they could update me when they would be round, and was told I was down for an install date of 26th April??! Fucks knows where they got that date from?

Had to speak to 3 different departments to get it all sorted and it seems that they have separate systems as none of them had a clue about things I'd spoken to other people about, despite them telling me everything was noted on my account.

Eventually got it installed on 25th March. Managed to get my £80 install fee waived and another month free on top of that but they really are shite and I wont be using them after my contract ends.

It's actually a few years since I dealt with them but the experience left me scarred. I ended up losing my voice from shouting at them over the phone.

That'll be Mini then.

Not at all my long haired friend, I found the kind of people who think that others might be impressed by a car bizarre.
There is a lot of those 'types' that get in The Rosedene mind.
This fella who was at the bar by himself once sticks in my mind.
Kept shouting to the barman about how much his golf club fees were.
Odd.

:)

Not strictly in accordance with the thread title but I find that the most difficult, uncompromising, miserable set of b#st#rds on the planet are doctors receptionists.

Hate having to deal with the jumped up, self opinionated gits.

I only really avoid shysters who lie to their customers, treat them like dirt, do their utmost to stop them shopping elsewhere, and charge them scandalous prices for what they get.

Not surprising really, I was almost at that stage. I just hope nothing goes wrong and I don't have to talk to them again until I want to cancel.

I've never bought from Microsoft personally but thanks for the tip.

I only wanted my Mac code to swap over to another ISP.
Didn't help that it was an 'Indian' bloke who I couldn't understand hardly anything he said.

falcon computers. im not a grass, nor a twisty fucker, and i support the local economy as much as i can, but in my experience i have been there maybes 5 or 6 times over the years for various things, and each and every time the staff have left me feeling like i have just murdered one of their children. absolute smarmy arrogant know-it-all pricks who look down on you if you dont know all the geeky computer jargon and look at you like a prick for simply asking something which to a novice wouldnt seem obvious

i'd love the wankers to come round my work and see how f***ing smart they are then

rant: over

The younger lad who works in there is spot on, knows his stuff and isn’t condescending. Always fine with me anyway and I only ever buy consumables in there, too expensive for parts, so I only ever ask for advice, never buy owt other than paper, discs etc. One or two of the other blokes are a bit more arsey mind.

Not as bad as GHI in Jarra either, well, one of them in particular.

o2 broadband. while ive been at uni theyve offered to give me mam a "free upgrade" when all theyve done is put her on a service where download speeds are throttled, torrents are virtually useless now

Derek Moss Funeral Directors..............release ashes to folk they shouldnt after having had a conversation specifically arranging this.

Then they tell you it happened when they were not in the office and they couldnt ring because they didnt have your number despite calling you back on it the day before to have the aforementioned conversation..........

I've heard a couple of bad stories about them preying on the vulnerable.

PC World -***** to a man (and woman)

Vodafone once me contract runs out (unfortunately that’s not for the best part of 2 years)

Frankie & Bennies (our lass booked a table for 9 for my daughters birthday. We got there and they tried to put us on 2 separate tables cos they had a party of 16 coming in an hour later and cos it’s a flat pack restaurant they only have about 3 tables they can move to accommodate a big party. We walked out and went elsewhere. And the food is one step up from McDonalds with knives and forks)

Hartlepool plumb centre are a bunch of tits, I went in asking for a part for my heating and he said you will have to go to the parts section, when I asked where it is he said over there and pointed at the other end of the L shaped counter he was standing behind, when I went over to that bit he came over and said "yes sir" I just walked out the daft twat.

I won't go there anymore (shame, cos the kids love it). I took me ma and da there for a meal (!!!) a few months back and the service was slow, I gave them the benefit of the doubt as I've worked in restaurants, but it became obvious it was slow because the staff didn't give a fuck, as opposed to being run off their arses. When we finally gave our order to the disinterested waitress I watched the chefs (!!!) cook the food and then place it under the heat lamp to signal to the waitresses it was ready to go to the table. It sat there for 15 minutes (I nearly got up and fetched it myself). So when it finally came to the table it was lukewarm, at best. So I asked the manager to take it away and that I wasn't going to pay, and I refused her half-hearted offer of a replacement (I've worked in kitchens too - never send your food back unless you enjoy the taste of spit). Crap. Ruined the evening.

So, to sum up, another vote for never going to Frankie and Bennys.

Are you suggesting they were taking drumming up business to extreme levels?? Like running old ladies over in the hearse??
