Ship Badge to come back permanently?

Like the one we have now. Past is the past just let be. Find all this chopping and changing a bit classless if the truth be told. It's like our home strip, it just should not change that much so people know who we are just by looking at it.
A large number of clubs have changed their badges over the last 20-25 years in some way, even if just modernising or completely changing it all together.

Nowt wrong with the one we have

Get rid of the latin nonsense off it mind

Couldn’t help but wonder if the plan was to put it along the top of the east stand if it’s extended

If you got rid of all the crap off the current badge except for the actual shield, so it was a bit like a Barcelona type badge, that would look canny

A cat on a ball? Just a cat standing on a ball?

Not saying it should be that, just that it'd be better than a r&w shield on r&w stripes. In the way that personally think Stoke has the worst badge not only in the league but probably all the way down to the northern league

Whatever you want to be. Point being “Mackems” is now widely regarded and used by the media and people inside / outside of the region for our fanbase.

It shouldn’t really bother anyone and it’s been commonly used since the mid 90s when referring to the club or supporters.
Makems

As i said before a cat sitting on a ball with either safc written on the ball or under it would be timeless and negate the battle between the nostalgics and the futurists!..like the football ..keeping it simple is always the best option and i think red and white stripes over complicate it and other teams play in red and white!

I've just had a little look at badges for the top two divisions as i've admittedly not taken much attention of others but aye, Stoke's is the absolute pits. It's a fair representation of their club tho tbf.

Why would anyone want a badge to represent their club that is an illustration of a historical industry that closed about 40 years ago? Shouldn’t the ship be replace by a Nissan Qashqai.

In silhouette of course.

Man City's badge has a ship on representing shipping that used to be on the Manchester ship canal, so loads of clubs have historical references.

if they are allowed to design a new one it will be utter shite. it'll clearly be AI generated with a black cat ….

Am I the only person who is ever so slightly irritated that our ‘black cat’ emblem is now always portrayed as a blood salivating prowling huge panther like creature with massive claws and geet big jaws?

It’s like if Charlton Athletic re-presented their Robin as a massive bird of prey with entail covered claws and a beak dripping human brain. Pathetic.
