If it flares up on your head/neck. Get to the doctor immediately, I am a cyclops now as it spread to my eye and fecked it.

Awful thing to have. Got it about 7 years ago on my head and neck, then got complications after developing Ramsay Hunt Syndrome. Basically it fucks your balance, couldn't walk in a straight line, and it also affected the muscles in one side of my face.

Got it about 4 years back off the bairn....was like the elephant man. Floored me for a week....

my bairn had chicken pox a few years back and obviously I touched his sores to put cream on,.didn't get it then either.
Two of my friends have had it this year. Lovely old dears, both artists, both dotty, as those approaching their 80th birthdays often seem to be.
Knocked them back badly.

Shingles and chickenpox are both horrible. I got CP when I was about 30, I was wrecked for a week. My brother got it when he was 40 and spent a week in hospital very poorly. My wife got shingles last year and is still having issues with her eyes (the shingles were on her head, face and in her eyes)

Yep. It's a myth you can only get it once
had chickenpox as a bairn then again in my 20s.. im thinking now it was shingles it was horrendous.. in my mouth me head had one on my bellend..

Had it when I was 39, surrounded my right eye they put me on anti-virals to stop it damaging the eye.

My wife was prescribed them. She's still having issues with her right eye, it's a year since she had them. Awful virus.

Shingles is more localised to an area I thought?
I had chickenpox in my 20s which was awful, it can be far worse in adulthood.
