Sheff Wed Players…

Pressure massively on them.

At home to the biggest home crowd of the year, who will increasingly become more nervy and restless the longer the game goes on without them scoring.

If we play like we did last night I honestly can't see them scoring. Defensively (at least to me) we looked to be able to halt them rather well.

I might be being too confident but I honestly don't see any reason we should fear them if we play with the same amount of sharpness and intensity as last night. They can't live with us down the flanks to save their lives.

I don't buy into their 'We play better at home so we're favourites' patter. It's the play offs, effectively a pressurised cup game with a full house and nervy crowd. Too many factors to quash that argument for me.

So am I correct in understanding that some are taking the view that a 1-0 win for us was actually a better result for Sheff Wed?

Hope they do feel it’s a good result for them. Let them feel they can hammer us at their place. Worked well for Pompey and their ‘bear pit’.

Trust AN to have us in the right frame of mind. Absolutely bricking it already like

Still on a knife edge for me.

That old cliche … but the first goal on Monday is massive.

Wednesday start brightly and get an early goal it’s suddenly a different tie but if we score first it would really put the cat amongst the pigeons (owls?).
