Are there any higher resolution images available?Plans have just gone in today showing they are going to continue Easington street straight through to the SOL south west roundabout having a subway underneath to walk down to the riverside - this will be a continuation of the Keel line from the bridge it looks..

Suppose it'll look decent? But will the existing route in red on the screenshot above still be there? It might end up going once the houses start going up?
Whole site will change with roads being removed imo. There may be extra housing where once there were roads and can't see much parking as will be permit only.Looks like it's all going to be pedestrianised...maybe not a drive through
Edit..im wrong on that, there's vans parked up on the picture
I would be expecting the first tranche of plans coming through soon for the development, the bridge will be opening this time next year where the area will be ready to be populatedWhole site will change with roads being removed imo. Was having a look earlier at the bait places due to open here. Buzzing for it
It isn't.You can see on the plansLad in CTD tiles - on the corner opposite the big ET Thompson building - was telling me a couple of weeks back that they’ve got a long lease that will cost the council a bomb to buy out. Hanging on for a compulsory purchase order, I think. Said also that everything between there and the stadium is earmarked as car parking, to keep some distance between the housing and stadium noise.

Surely if he’s just leasing and they find suitable alternative premises he’s going to get very little?Lad in CTD tiles - on the corner opposite the big ET Thompson building - was telling me a couple of weeks back that they’ve got a long lease that will cost the council a bomb to buy out. They’ll be working with the owner mate. Take no notice.Surely if he’s just leasing and they find suitable alternative premises he’s going to get very little?
Not sure how CPOs work mind.
Exactly. They’ll be working with the owner mate. Take no notice.

It’s called compulsory for a reason. The owner and the owner only has the right to accept/reject any offer. In fairness I can’t see it being a compulsory purchase order tbf which is tricky. That was it: something about the council hoping they could just buy them out cheaply, but it’s the head branch of several so the lease is longer and will cost more. It’ll end up part of the development all the same and we’ll never know the ins and outs of it, but just made me think how tricky the whole piecemeal buying up of the area must be.
