Defo sexist. Board is in dire need of a "World Cup WADs" thread at the very least.

It's been pinned for well over a month so you'd expect loads of comments. It's got a dedicated thread so not sure why the fume?Thread has over 6000 comments. That suggests a bit of interest, like.
Actually, I called it summat like “the Womens World Cup starts in a fortnight” then it became the official thread and a Mod renamed it.Maybe it’s because someone on here (a woman at that) started a thread called official 2023 womens World Cup thread, and then that’s how it went?
I agree. The board is absolutely wick with sexism but I don't think this is an example of it.
Nah that’s nowt to with sexism and everything to do with Hank being a bit weird about match threadsI agree.
Racism and homophobia are no longer tolerated but but sexism is alive and kicking here.
Often posters are unaware of it. An example would be the fuss about Becs starting the match day threads last season. If Becs was a bloke nobody would give a toss about who started the thread.
It is just an example of men not treating women as equals.
Absolute chod! Most of the poster call for Becs to do the match thread.I agree.

Just don’t open the threads.
Same as the people on here who only follow Sunderland. I assume they aren’t getting stuck into match threads about other teams.
Just don’t see why it’s an issue. Just don’t open the thread.
Exactly my point. An example of treating a poster differently because she is a woman.Absolute chod! Most of the poster call for Becs to do the match thread.
Wouldn't say its sexism, but certainly think games like this one deserve their own thread. That being said, are match threads actually being created and moved into the women's football thread, or are people just posting the teams and stuff in there initially?
It's because she does a good match thread man, not because of her sex.Exactly my point. An example of treating a poster differently because she is a woman.
It also makes it easier to get rid of the occasional sexist twat who jumps on asking who’s making dinner.
Me anarl, she needs to get her arse into gear.I just assumed you would be making it![]()
How is that sexist? Here's one of them now.
Post in thread 'Stadium Of Light: Lionesses Return To Wearside In September' Stadium Of Light: Lionesses Return To Wearside In September
Why is the entire women's world Cup assigned to a single thread?
Are we going to do the same with the next men's world Cup?
Surely games like this deserve their own thread. I can understand (sort of) that non league football has a single thread dedicated to it but this is a world Cup ffs.
I'm sure this will get shifted to "that thread" quickly enough.![]()
How is it thick? That’s just thick rather than sexist isn’t it?
Needs a happy medium I reckon. I can see the appeal of one thread for each player etc, but most people would never bother clicking on it when it gets over a certain size. If a player signs a new contract, has an offer made for them, gets an injury etc, something notable, I think a separate thread is fair enough and makes sure posters can all see the latest news without having to click threads for every player on the off chance.Don't mind the concept of the single thread. RAWK do it for individual Liverpool players which I thinks is great.
Think you're looking for something that isn't there or is confined to a small number of people.I agree.

Why have a dog and bark yourself?Starting a match thread isn't my place. There are people for that...
