Yep. It's absurd really.All for the development of the women’s game - I don’t know the extent to which England doing well boosts it globally, but obviously a strong desire to ride the wave of success here will do no end of good and has moved it right into mainstream media. OK some of the media can’t help themselves “first final since 1966” “finally a chance to add a second World Cup” “first ever final on foreign soil” - putting the men and women’s games together as if they had equal history, structures and standing will do more harm than good imo. Why can’t it be seen on its own merit - that would help avoid the unfair comparisons that any sexism is drawn from.
The Women's 'Ashes' made me laugh. What ashes are they talking about? Do they have an urn? Fuckin' stupid.
