When you are a middling-lower Premier League team, players like Sessegnon are often the only reason to bother watching the games every week.

Even when he was playing badly, he would have opposition defences backpeddling in a panic towards their own goal. I miss him.

This, he was far from perfect, but letting him go because he was inconsistent and 29 only made any sense if we didn't completely waste the proceeds. I do like Giaccherini, though he too flatters to deceive, but having spent money on Scocco, Bridcutt after he left and Mavrias, Altidore, Karlsson, Giacc and Mannone (obviously the McClean and Mig funds come into play here too) then I don't know how anyone can call it the right decision in hindsight.

I agree. Whilst he was too inconsistent for my liking, at the time, losing him was still a big deficit. However, his head wasn't right, probably due to PDC cocking around. He has hardly lifted WBA, so on balance, I'm not bothered.

Couldn't manage to win a single league game in 15 attempts last season without him, won 7 in 23 with him. He's not world class or even top level or even consistent, but come on those stats stand out.

It was madness to allow Di Canio to ditch Sessegnon only for Di Canio to be sacked a few weeks later.

Poor management all round.

Under no circumstances would either be at Barcelona.

You know what I mean. If the january johnson version performed like that 12 months of the year. He wouldnt be here thats for sure

Biggest myth ever. People seem to suggest that if he didn't score, or directly set up a goal, then he'd had a bad game. His biggest contribution to our team was the way he would be able to get us from one end of the pitch to the other, quickly. His weakest games were when he was wrongly played too far forward as a striker, preventing him from collecting the ball deep and bringing the team forward.
I watched him. There were games where he disappeared.

You could also argue that they were sh1t with him and even sh1tter without him, but I see where you are coming from.
