Still genuinely gutted that he left. I don't give a shit about what people say about his inconsistency, he was our inconsistent little genius and what I pay money to watch football for. Poyet would have got the best out of him I sincerely believe that.
Think he wanted to stay anarl

If Sess could have e-mailed to tell you when he was gonna turn up, you'd have saved a fortune.

You are half right, it was more like one in ten. He was supposed to be our main attacking threat from midfield and he went around 17/18 games in a row without having a shot. Half of his assists came from when he did eventually have a shot because let's face it he was awful at shooting. His passing wasn't much better

Not denying that his shooting was woeful and there were times where you could throttle him, but turned up on a far more regular basis than the vast majority of his team-mates.

Gyan and Steed?

They didn't like. Every bit as inconsistent as Sess supposedly was.

If people say Sess didn't have an end product, God only knows what they thought of Malbranque. For someone who was meant to be a creative threat going forward, he was the absolute epitome of the "all fart, no shite" stick that people label Sessegnon with.

Still don't buy into it as he was one player in a team of under performing players. He was great but not world class which is why he was with us and went to West Brom. He rarely grabs the game by the scruff of the neck but if the team is working together he was instrumental in creating many chances and setting up goals. As I say he could have flourished under Poyet, he always seemed to be shoe horned in to teams under Bruce and Di Canio and they weren't clever enough to utilise him correctly. This seems apparent with his West Brom career also.

Have a long think about that sentence.

Overrated mate, IMO. (In My Opinion of course, I am NOT speaking on behalf of the SMB)

Was canny at times there, didn't do it often enough there mate IIRC there from my memories of him, IMO we are better without mate.

Nowhere near as inconsistent for us as people make out. The "1 in 5" shit is a complete myth.
I thought he was consistently inconsistent. 1 in 5 is far better than he actually was and we would never have entertained a player of his limited end product had we been as good as we hoped we would be.
His career stats say it all.

It says it all for us.

17 in 87 games, I wonder who the our last top flight midfielder was to have scored as many goals?
