When he fancied it he was a very good player, as Johnson. Unfortunately those days are very few and far between.
As much as I admire the skills of Sessegnon and Johnson, having your "best" players turning up for a 1/3 of the season is recipe for continued struggle.

Fantastic player for one or two touches a game, anonymous for the vast majority of away games and couldn't shoot to save his life.
Oddly, I still loved the little bugger on the hope he'd turn up with his one-in-six game performance.

He really wasn't that good, and that's why he's now playing for West Brom.

Just goes to show the dross we've been served up in recent years the way he is lauded on here.

and didn't get a game for them half the time

Recent years? f***ing hell very short memory.

Sessegnon is Pele compared to some of the absolute turgid shite we've had in recent history man. Jeff f***ing Whitley and the like.

Just saw the WBA friendly highlights on SSN. Two beautiful assists. Would love him back here

.. tinted glasses mate? .. I liked Sess and must admit I don't think we should have sold him when we did .. on his day, he was class, but he didn't have that many days tbf. Mind you most of the others had even less days at the time ..

.. if he could have kept his head up I reckon he could have went to a top side .. if he could shoot regally he probably would have got a game ..

Nowhere near as inconsistent for us as people make out. The "1 in 5" shit is a complete myth.

You are half right, it was more like one in ten. He was supposed to be our main attacking threat from midfield and he went around 17/18 games in a row without having a shot. Half of his assists came from when he did eventually have a shot because let's face it he was awful at shooting. His passing wasn't much better

Still genuinely gutted that he left. I don't give a shit about what people say about his inconsistency, he was our inconsistent little genius and what I pay money to watch football for. Poyet would have got the best out of him I sincerely believe that.

Yeh let's get him back! Sess, Colback, Cisse, Jones, Campbell, Gordon, McCartney, Collins, Bardsley pile back in lads!
