Whoa there, hold on a second. I thought playing one striker with Sess playing off was a disasterous formation and wouldn't amount to anything?

it wouldnt but it helps if you organise the players behind as well

Happy just enjoying him while he is here, but he is exactly the kind of player I can imagine being described as "triffic player, I cant talk about other team's players, but if he was for sale of course we would be interested"

You missed the bit about " and 'parently there's a release clause if any of the Norf Larndon clubs show an interest."

it was when we had a manager who was clueless.

Infairness to Bruce to get Sess for 5/6m was a cracking deal.

Massive statement but I'm going with it. In 25 years of support he's the best asset we've had. Phillips was awesome - I loved him and always will, however, his game relied heavily on Quinn's input. He was still phenomenal but was more so because of the Quinn-Phillips axis.
Sess is the most talented individual I have ever seen at our club. He told us we'd need to renegotiate his contract when we signed him following his move from PSG. Absolutely everything must be done to keep him. He should be the top earner at SAFC. He could walk into any side in the league. We were comparing his input to that of Silva from Man City tonight - fuck me, is he not the best CAM in the world?
I desperately want to keep him, however, if he is sold it can't be a penny less than £25m. He is that influential and week on week he proves this.

Has anyone actually got hold of a Benin flag yet?
Wouldn't even know what the Benin flag looked like even if Sessegnon came in slapped me with one while singing 'I love Benin I do oh Benin i love you'

Watched the lads since 73. Never seen a talent like his in a red and white shirt. His goal was genius.

Agreed with everything there.

but Caroll went for 35m. Sess is worth more than that.

possibly the most skillful player ive ever seen for sunderland. hes amazing. i would love to keep him, he could be a legend. IF he wants out then £30m please

In fairness to Bruce, he had it spot on formation wise, he just couldn't organise and motivate them.

Sess wouldn't do anything in that position, that was the SMB opinion at the time.

The bloke is a class act, proved beyond any doubt when he played up on his own away at Bolton last year. He's a striker.

I am enjoying him while he's ours cos we will be pushing shit up hill to keep him.
A real pleasure seein a player of his calibre in red and white
