I'm in love with him. He is the best player I've ever seen play for Sunderland, to lose him would be an absolute disaster, I hope he's here for as long as we can physically keep him.

He is unbelievable.

Any Mags still wanting to argue that Ben Arfthetalent is better than Sess?

:p

Ben Arfa is a good player, make no mistake. However this summer I can see Sess being linked with the best in Europe for £20m+. I can't see the same for Arfa.
(not a mag but replying anyway :) )

I was sat next to him at a Sunderland dentist yesterday..He is tiny and also politely refused a blowy

Never met any players before yesterday. I flew up from London and was sat behind the Greek and then I went to Oliver's dentist and saw Sess

Strange day

thats bullsh, theyve moved over, said he wants to stay

they have, i got my house valued the other day and the estate agent was telling me hes a Bolton fan:lol:
had a bit crack with him apparently Sessegnons wife and kids moved over last month and are living in Durham

IF he leaves I'd be very gutted, Fuck this when he leaves.

If we're playing well and moving on they will not want to leave.

Ha'way the lads.

if we hold on to this lad- bring in a few more quality additions and can keep our form going. Just imagine what we could be aiming for next season

Personally, I'd offer him that wage rise he mentioned when he signed right now, and add as many years on the new contract as he'd allow. Someone will be in for him in the summer, nee doubt about it. Lets make them pay a huge amount if they're going to steal him from us.

Agreed make him level with the top earners and add 18 months to his contract.

I would do it in Summer mind, but let him know that we will be looking at it in the Summer. Keep him focussed.

Then double it, treble, quadruple it, whatever it takes.

Aye he took a paycut and told Walton that he doesn't mind as we'd be wanting to pay him more after we see him play for us, well time to offer him a new contract!

He said something along the lines of "I have taken a wage cut to come to Sunderland but that's ok, when they see me play they'll be asking me how much I want." :)

He was not wrong! He looks happy as Larry at the moment, playing out of his skin. I'd offer him as much as our pay structure will allow and as long a deal as possible. Keep him happy and settled and see if we can fend off any offers that will come in.

He is absolute class, I can't believe he plays for the lads.

That's the dilemma isn't it? If we give him it now (depending on his attitude) he might think "right, job done" and start coasting. However, if we wait and someone taps him up the summer might be too late.

I'd trust O'Neill to know if money is his motivator or if a new contract would just make him even more focused.
